Nunez would be a 10/10 signing IMO.

Totally get why people are sceptical, but I really think his work rate and fluidity would be so effective for us.

Seems like a 'Marco' player to me.

Saying all that, I think he'll go to a champions league team somewhere in Italy or Spain.

Agree Nunez has something about him  and for a club like ours he would be incredible, he would be the big fish in a small pond, the number 1 striker and like Mitro everything would be focused around him.

I'm not sure he would want to step down from European football to be with us and other clubs would be sniffing too given the price was right.

Deuce

Things are so quiet, people on here are so bored that they are actually, seriously, suggesting us signing Osmihen or Nunez. Delusional much lads?

Harry Tofolfo has been released by Forest (Forest with one 'R' lads, not Forrest Gump)  He has always looked a solid if unspectacular left back and could be decent cover.

MickTheBeard

Yes I'm keen, rather than touring round old people's homes looking for old players who might last 60 minutes and young players who don't fancy sitting on the bench for 10 years

@jolslover

Both Nunez and Richarlison would be top signings and statements of ambition. Think Nunez would probably want to join someone bigger than us though - given Liverpool spent 85m on him

Mins per goal 24/25:

Muniz 121
Raul 208
Nunez 227

But yeah let's go and spend £40m on a striker that's not as productive as what we have based on the whole of last season and block Muniz having a proper shot at starting as he comes into his prime.

Sure Liverpool would have created a tonne more chances for Nunez as well.

Young striker with huge potential for half the price to hopefully replace Raul in a year please. Let's do some clever scouting for youth for positions we already have very decent solutions. ::thumb::

We already have 5 solid if unspectacular players to cover for left back between Sess, Bassey, Cuenca, Castagne and Tete.

People would take Werner but not Nunez on this discussion let's be real Nunez is 💯 better but the fee and salary are way out of our price range go get Conway from Middlesbrough

SerbianLad

Of course Nunez is better than Werner, in isolation. For us, Werner would be a better signing, as:
a) he is 10x cheaper(literally)
b) he can play on the wing as well as a striker

I wouldn't take either

Yeah fair enough, I agree with the premise we don't need to spend 40m on a striker as we have Muniz / Raul but surely you can't think they are better than Nunez because of goal per minute stats when Nunez had less than 5 starts all season
I agree though if we are spending 40m on a player I would rather it be a winger.. or someone that can play both wings and ST ie Richarlison

Nunez is better than Werner in the same way that diarrhoea is better than throwing up

I personally don't rate him very highly but agree that the idea that Nunez isn't good enough for Fulham, or that we're even discussing it like we do, its hilarious. When I say I don't rate him, I don't rate his finishing ability or composure inside the box. He's erratic, makes consistently poor decision making, and misses too many 'easy' chances, but then frustrates when he scores a difficult finish/worldy. His biggest strength is his workrate and pace when working the channels but not sure we need that with the pace we have in the side already.

TL;DR - Pointless discussing, we aren't a realistic target for him.

Really like the look of Kaino Dyer, young Chelsea lad playing CM for England u19s

Plenty to work on for him still but looks a serious talent on the ball, very classy midfielder capable of pulling strings from deep.

One to look at for the future if he struggles to get in at Chelsea contract expires there this summer in theory too

I think he started around 18 games across all competitions (plus 29 sub appearances). 7 goals. With all the chances that Liverpool create, a massive, huge please god no from me.

Lordedmundo

I'm fairly sure that if we buy a dedicated centre forward - it will a younger player as back-up. It doesn't make sense to spend £20-40 million when we have Muniz and Raul.

That said - Richarlison does fit the profile of versatile forward who can in the middle or out wide (albeit in the last few seasons he has been played less and less on the wing).  So, at £20m it would represent good value and give us cover in the event of injuries and/or Raul or Muniz leaving.

Personally - I don't see it happening. More likely he will go back to Everton.

If he can be utilised across the front line, Richarlison would seem to make perfect sense for us. That's the kind of profile we need (if not necessarily the experience).
