We can't give tete a 3 year deal the squad is too old he will be a miss a injury record which is not good Lille got rid for that reason an put 25pc sell on clause im only want younger players who are assets for our club as long as it isn't tanton busy player 22 this season but boy is he lightweight not strong enough.

Have people on here written off Traore? He never seems to factor in to the thinking on our wings. The times I've seen him play he's looked useful if only because his pace is obscene.

Good observation.  Have always like Traore, in spite of poor finishing abilities.  Did prove useful this past season in somewhat limited action.  Still like him, hope he sticks with FFC.  Had he netted v City early in season on a handful of great chances, could have gone on to have great season.

We could have offered a contract a year ago before we took the option or and they could have said we will wait till end of next year, so we excersized our option back the.

We offered him a new deal with the same terms at the end of last season and he rejected it. He wanted a 3 year deal and a big wage rise. We didn't do that becuase it's not wise. Hugo Siquet is now linked. Upgrade

If my memory is correct, Kenny was 2nd choice RB at the end of 23/24 because Tim claimed the starting spot after Tete was out injured.

Difficult to justify a new contract to an injury prone 2nd choice RB last summer.

Of course, Kenny reclaimed the starting spot at the start of last season as Tim was late back from international duty & Kenny was fit from a full pre-season & in exceptional form.

I think Kenny is a better FB than Tim but let's hope Kenny, if rumours are true, is not available when we play Everton & we bring in a younger, fitter, replacement.

Doubt we would have got much and we already had to replace 4 or 5 first team players last year so didn't need to add to that list. Seen a few comments online suggesting that Everton are paying him £130k a week. Who knows if true but as much as I absolutely love the guy that on a 3 year deal would be crazy money with his injury record and much as it pains me we have made the right choice if correct in my opinion. Clearly the club have weighed it up whatever the wage demand and have just felt it is too much.

It would be amazing if we can get someone younger with more attacking output. Here's praying.

It is what it is, if the player wishes to go and he has turned down our offer.
The club moves on and draws its attention to who what and where Fulham proceed from here, and hopefully with some urgency and a spring in their step as time is of the essence and transactions are a procedure that can drag on.
Fulham must ensure that we are stronger as a team and a squad from back to front this coming season, if we are to move in the right direction.

Just from an outsider looking in. There really isn't much transfer incoming news at all.

Sad re Tete, great player and will remember some fantastic performances.
Don't actually blame the club on this one though - giving someone with his injury record (and about to turn 30) a 3 year deal is a risky move - Everton also offering a wage increase.

Would love to see us bring in Walker-Peters on a free. Always a threat going forward and would alternate well with Castagne depending on opposition

Just from an outsider looking in. There really isn't much transfer incoming news at all.

It's very frustrating indeed but it's still incredibly early and a tonne of our signings come out of nowhere with no rumours so keep trying to remind myself of both things. Desperately hoping for some sort of good news soon however as we could all use it after the Tete and to a much lesser extent Osmond departures. Would be great to hear about a Marco contract extension as much as any incomings.

Our outcomes are often fine, but there is always an outward appearance of a bit of disorder.

We already have Castagne so I don't think there is any need to panic. Would be strange to get a third right back while hoping that one of our other two will extend their contract. Think RB is where we've had the most transfer links so far as well, so I assume there is someone lined up.

There are few players in the team that would warrant a scramble now, Leno and Robinson I guess. Other players leaving would need replacing and make us weaker if the replacement doesn't pan out, but we have a fairly even squad now.

Not a disaster, but we do need a second right back. If a deal for a replacement was already secured that would be better than needing to find one once it's public knowledge we need one.

We do often sell players before their replacement. Same with Joao, and arguably Mitro - as supposedly Raul was brought in to rotate with him.

Bournemouth already have their Kerkez replacement before his move to Liverpool is confirmed. Gives an impression of a club that are very organised in how they do things.

The difference is Kerkez was sure to go, Tete maybe 50/50.

True, but that wasn't for example the case with Palhinha last season.

[Peter Rutzler] Enjoyed watching Tete at his best, and when fit, his one-on-one defending a huge asset for Fulham. He was offered a three-year deal by #FFC too, I'm told, but looks like he'll opt for Everton's terms. Fulham have been looking at RBs for a while in prep.

Interesting to see we did indeed offer him three years, must have been a difference in terms. I read he wanted a big increase in salary, given his injury record I can see why the club might not have wanted to do that based on his injury record.

Really like Kenny - seems like a good person and super committed player. There was a time where he was just so hard to get past and really locked down that side defensively for us. However, perhaps because of the injury, that did slip a bit last season, and he seemed to be out of position more and less able to make the recoveries. And as good as he is defensively, he's only got 7 assists in three seasons. Robinson is nearly three times that. If we buy well, we can do better.
