I think they wanted closer to £30m for him

WindyCity

Fiorentina preparing bid in 20M range, (for McAtee) just sayin', just rumor.........

I'd even imagine upwards of that to be honest.

Martinelli is well out of our range and I'm not sure he's out of favour either. He's not quite at the levels they thought he would be at but still played a lot last season when available.

Super happy with Tete but I don't think this is an occasion to worry about how short term this is. Tete adds a lot to us, and against top opposition as well. Getting a replacement doesn't necessarily mean heavy investment as all our class full backs haven't been expensive.

30m for McAtee sounds like a steal in this market to be honest

RAY Rock

McAtee no thanks go all in for Oscar Bobb much better player younger and can play across the front line

Yep I'd happily pay £30m for McAtee.

Aside from him, would like to see us sign players who will make the difference in both boxes from set pieces as well as players who can help us beat a low block / teams who defend deeply.

Highly tipped and regarded at man city though, don't think they're looking to sell Bobb from what I hear.

Mcatee a talented player, would be a very good option should we sell AP

RAY Rock

Bobb is 8th choice get him on loan with permanent option . Norway could qualify for World Cup. Berge should have a word

Coventry about to sign a new RB from Villa which suggest Van Ewijk will be on the move.
If we re-sign tete, will we bother with a new RB?

I guess it depends on what the club see as a priority. MVE is an attacking FB with a different profile to Tete and castagne and would certainly give us a more Jedi-esque RB to maybe balance out our LW attacking bias. Tete and Castagne are also both 29 so we could do with a younger FB. Maybe a case to be made that Tete could play RCB in a back 3/5 with MVE as a RBW as well

I would assume not. No point in having 3 first team rightbacks. If we were to sell Castagne, then maybe, otherwise I can not see how it would make sense.

Agreed. Basically a deferred liability that has to be paid at some point before long. Fine to have one or two like that in the squad but if you have too many you're pretty exposed. In contrast to a young, valuable player which is an asset.

We were linked with him in January (I think), I think he would be a top signing for us

Promising,
Looks an exciting talent and a good age profile, would be pleased if we can pull this one off.

ridiculous.

Football at this level has left him.

Dunno why the club always do this

"Dunno why the club always do this" Given the amount of players we lose on frees I would beg to differ
