First Brentford, then Bournemouth & now Forest:

'Max T: A completely disastrous double blow. Gibbs-White leaving rips the heart out of our team. He brings captain energy and drive. The reveal of a £60m release clause no fan was aware of has been tough to stomach and shines more light on the promotion deal we struck. It is almost impossible to replace two players like this in two windows. Not the European dawn I imagined.'

Over a hundred pages and only a few daYs until the end of Wimbledon tennis. Could be a late rush which none of us saw coming except possibly all of us.

But that only answers it if you believe/assume that Tony Khan had identified a great strategy that literally no other club has worked out - which naturally I find hard to accept. Otherwise, there are natural follow-on questions, like why are other clubs better than us at getting good value without waiting until the late stages of the window, or if they aren't, why are they more open than us to paying a premium to get a specific target player and/or to get the player in early?

Will probably be removed from this site, but cannot believe the amount of t***S comments on here, they obviously don't remember the sad years late sixties to late 90s, as they would not put the s**t they do on here and continually put the club down.
Do they actually no what the club are doing to bring in players. Doubt it, but it will be good to see how they pick the team, as they all think they are better than Marco.

Sorry, meant to add, have got to 101 pages talking mostly about utter bulls**t

It's what happens mate, try not to get too upset by those acting like baby starlings and just roll with it.

Signings will be made, people will then debate that to death for a few days before crying that the next one hasn't come in yet, its how it works here.  ::thumb::

In lieu of any FFC transfer news, it is very interesting to me how many rivals are being utterly picked apart.

Brentford, Forest, Bournemouth...

Puts pressure on them to buy well and do a Brighton.

I do think we have an opportunity next year if we can buy well. Speaking of, anyone know anything about Hackney?

Would appease posters who lament us never buying championship talent  ::thumb::

Half of our recent regulars have been recruited from the Championship or had just finished playing in the Championship on loan: Cairney, Reed, Robinson, Tosin, Ream, BDR, Wilson. We just haven't done it since we got promoted under Marco.

Oh agreed - I was being a bit tongue in cheek in reference to posts that lament how we don't look to the Champ.

As you say; we have plenty of first teamers with that background who have made the step up so I'm sure there are great players there.

I have to say I've not really followed the champ this year... who are the hottest prospects? Is Hackney one of them?

Realistically they will have bought replacements for those outgoing players before we buy anyone, and they'll be doing with a bigger budget than us given the fees they'll receive

Same moaning and perenially negative vibes from same people every year pal, that's the silly season thread. It's all part of the fun I guess  đŸ¤£

As a long standing member and see 100pages minimum every summer and people crack off you should just chill out, relax.

Will the announcement of the Forest friendly in Portugal give assurance we are actively planning for next season?

I hear what you say but it's 2025 and the world has moved on. I 100% get the frustration expressed on here.

But this is what happens every year on social media and especially football sites. Fans will make instant opinions and comments and vent their frustration. People will say silly things but I bet, unlike me, most would have spent out the ludicrous sums for season tickets. It is no good getting angry at peoples opinion. We live in a World of instant opinion. Instant insult and instant conclusions. Yes it is annoying when people don't agree with things or slag off things or people you like. However I am afraid it is almost encouraged. Every year over a hundred pages and every year the same things being said. You can either get frustrated or find it entertaining. Or ignore it.

Other teams pick up great bargains there  but it ridiculously seems off our current radar.
