Reached page 108. Curruthers looks a beaten man. He is trying to melt ice on the stove with a penguin in 80 degrees temperature Maraters is outside settling the dogs. All seem aware that nothing has happened and they have come so far. Must keep to the point. Last poster to drift away from the point was never seen again. Not that many of us believed he existed in the first place. Much like our first signing.

My fingers and toes have heat stroke. I am writing for the last time in my old log. Disgusting habit I must get out off. But boredom does that to you. I have to believe that the next person through the tent flaps will be either a new signing or some gypsy woman with a crystal ball. The dogs are silent. I think Maraters has killed them all. I am a ITK. I can exclusively reveal we will all die someday and nobody will care about 107 pages of people getting annoyed at other people for being annoyed at other people. Oh God let it end soon.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Fulham 442

I think a few of us on here are going stir crazy with our lack of signings. Come on Fulham give us at least one soon to keep us going!

Yes rumours wise, its when the same people start talking about players who are already here, their best positions and so on.
ITS A TRANSFER RUMOUR TOPIC.

To which potential transfer does this post pertain, may I ask?

I thought Silva gave an ultimatum about club direction at the end of last season?

Surely that involved investing in players.

Yet there's nothing on the horizon at all? I doubt Silva would've threatened to leave over a 31 year old B team striker from Italy. Where are the big signings?

Silva mostly underlined the importance of retaining players when interviewed. But there have been stories about how the plan between Silva and the club is 5 new players this window.

Taremi doesn't really make much sense when we already have Jimenez and Muniz to me. An upgrade on Vinicius but hasn't really had a good season since 22/23 and is turning 33 in a week.

Cairney agent probably taking a leaf out of Tete's book. Medical will be booked next to force Fulhams hand.

Off with TC I say.

Looks like the players are back in training today.

So it's official, not a single signing we make will get a full pre-season with the club.

At least it's possibly the strongest squad we've had going into a full pre season though. Yes we could still improve in areas but this squad is competitive so I'm looking forward to seeing how they get on over the summer. Certainly worse positions to be in and we've certainly been in them.

Perhaps a few on here should enjoy the Summer weather and let the club make the signing when they feel they need to😎🌞🍻

Perhaps that's because the players we are, after are still on a summer break after all the international matches that are only  just finishing 🤔

West Ham are about to sign Hadji Malick Diouf. I think that would leave just us left without a signing.

Gotta say there are 19 other very daft clubs, all getting ripped off with these early season deals.

It'll all be worth it to save a couple of million quid and take until October/November for the guys acquired on deadline day to be acclimatised

I had a conversation with a senior Fulham director at the end of last season.

He told me very clearly that Fulham would not be making many signings or losing many players this close season.

He told me that Marco has a long list of targets and from that we are looking to bring in a midfield player, 2 wingers, a striker and if Tete had not signed a right back.

The club think we have a strong squad and only want players in who will strengthen us.

A priority is to get ESR firing on all cylinders and able to go 90 minutes.

Clearly the club are in no rush and will bring the right players in when the right players become available at the right price.  This close season was always going to be a slow burner as we are in no rush because we don't believe we need to be.

I was also told because I asked the question that Tom would not be going to Wrexham because they could not afford his wages.  I suspect we want to extend Tom but the sticking point are his wages which I suspect we are trying to negotiate down (I don't know this, just an opinion).

You can believe me or not, but it's 100% the truth.  I have posted this a few times and so far the lack of signings suggests, what he told me was accurate.  This person is senior enough to know and all I am doing is passing on what he told me.

Dont be ridiculous, this arrogant attitude is called stagnation and it will have us playing league 2 football by september 4th.

Shame we haven't got an established squad proven capable of competing already as a base. Having lost Vinicus, Willian and other key starters like Callum Osmand I'm not sure how we could possibly hope to cope with easing players into our team this year. At least players like ESR got time to have a good camp last time out when they signed with time to play multiple friendly fixtures... On August 2nd. I mean sure that's still over a fortnight away, But because of how late players like Berge and Anderson came in, we were only 7th by the 1st of november... It's a joke if you ask me they don't know what they're doing. If our key targets aren't quite willing to get over the line yet we should skip down the list to keep me happy. If it means instead going for someone we wanted a bit less but is ready to come now It's better we do that so they can get an extra couple weeks prep in. Long term that's the most important thing over the next 60+ games they'll play for us and beyond.

Been saying same thing for 3 seasons in the prem, and I mean sure, Fulham managed to start well in all 3 of those making all the moaning in hindsight seem a bit of a waste of time and energy...but this time...this time it's even more logical and worthwhile to do. continue this arrogant approach and we'll stagnate and well be in league 2 by september 8th.

All completely believable mate as all makes complete logical sense both for the positions that we need and the methodology. As much as everyone is panicking you can pretty much guarantee that by the end of the window those positions will be filled with players that Marco wants.
