Without trying to be rude, is this not a given seeing as Arsenal fly out to Singapore tomorrow? Sami Mokbel's piece said all parties were working towards concluding the deal as quickly as possible, ideally before Saturday. It's a shame there have been no further updates in the press since the story broke on Wednesday afternoon. I don't understand how a deal like this is dragging on in all honesty, especially when the player wants the move.

If we hear nothing before this evening, the biggest sign will surely be if Nelson travels with them or not. Fingers crossed he doesn't!

Doesn't really work when they get 1 right and 99 wrong though. They feed off peoples desperation to know what's going on and will always eventually threaten with "well if people don't want to hear my lies what i know, i'll just stop telling people."

Agree. These sort of people have hounded out top posters like MJG (Mike Gregg) and WSW and the forum is a lot poorer for their loss and not enhanced by these people.

People are really here trying to gain credibility on a forum and intellectually by discussing the nuance of how much someone is right vs wrong and subsequently legitimate, yet noone is offering anything more substantial.

It's laughable.

DM has shared a fair few things on this forum and has been right, particularly when it comes to contract renewals being signed (so far - which is all we've had).

If anything he got 99% right!

Then, because people asked, he said one statement about Reiss Nelson and the possibility that he could be staying behind from a preseason tour due to advanced talks with us, and it turns out (regardless of whether he is in advanced talks or not), that Reiss is going on the preseason tour with Arsenal and everyone is trying to points score as if they're Albert Einstein.

It's ridiculous. Have some self respect.

There is a world where he could have been and still is right about Reiss being close to signing, but Arsenal playing a longer and harder game as a negotiating tactic and so, having been close, they've decided to then take him with them as they still value the contribution to the squad he can make.

Why does everyone think in such linear and black and white terms these days, it's not how the world works.

I would add, that if you aren't interested in transfer rumours, news, hopes and frustrations, what are you doing on this thread? The point of it is to share and discuss links, targets, stories, rumours, not to shoot the messenger.

Wonder if these rumours are popping up to put some fire under Arsenals feet or if they're a sign of switching targets. Chukwueze and the Benfica winger are both of a similar age and price profile as Nelson.
