"Fulham interested in Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. It's understood Fulham have explored the conditions of a loan & permanent deal. A formal approach to Chelsea will follow if they believe there is a deal to be done. Contract runs until 2029 + 1 year option. #FFC #CFC"

Wouldn't be displeased with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but I doubt he would be cheap.

I was hoping we would get him before he signed for Chelsea. Think he is very tidy. Not sure his best position in midfield? If he is more suited to box to box which not sure he is then would be a good pick up if it's more the No10 role you would imagine he competes with ESR and possibility of Pereira leaving?

From what I recall he used to play as a box to box midfielder when he was at Leicester. Has hardly played for Chelsea though, so you'd wonder if they are willing to let him go for anything less than they got him for.

Found a short writeup on him: https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/scouting-report-kiernan-dewsbury

Main position is CM so yeah that box to box role we are looking for I reckon. Can however play 10 and even DM I believe so very useful. Anything around £25m would be decent I reckon. Not a brilliant assist and goal record in the prem for Leicester but they were poor of course. Very good at progressive carries abd take ons so again that box to box profile could be pretty perfect.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned....Betts was sold by Chelsea to Man City for £2 million. What's the point of that?

Scott Carson retired and they wanted another semi-retired third keeper that can act as assistant GK coach.

It would be slightly underwhelming if out first 3 signings are a reserve goalie and two loanees, but I guess that represents some kind of activity!

Must admit I don't know much about KDH, but I think he certainly improves the squad and potentially the first 11, so I would be happy with the signing.

Luca Ashby Hammond has just signed for Argyle too.

Home grown quota box tick for a player that isn't going to play and replaces a retiring GK

And for Betts, beside pay, he's probably thinking longer term about potentially being a GK coach like his dad, so it can't help to be training with top GK coaches and GKs at Chelsea and Man City. Can imagine it boosts his credentials quite a bit. Must've done well behind the scenes at Chelsea to get to Man City.

On a fulham note, does sound like things are slowly starting to ramp up towards our first one or two signings and hopefully more.

Seems we prioritised signing existing squad members first.

Pau Victor set to join Braga according to the Athletic.

Shame. Liked the idea of that one. Prefer Romulo anyway however if that ever happens of course...feels like this years Andre.

I think Andre will do particularly well for Wolves next season as he started to find his feet last season and was doing well for them as they saw an uptick in form. A shame we didn't get him over the line.

I agree saw enough of him at Wolves to suggest he is more than decent. No disrespect to Berge but his reading of the game is superior than the Norwegians. Would of suited our style can see why we were heavily linked to him.

Berge was excellent for much of the season but clearly needed a rest as his form dropped off.

Still don't really understand why Wolves were able to sign Andre for a similar fee to the one Fluminense rejected from us. Could be they offered more up front or could be Fluminense simply got desperate near the end of the window and Wolves benefited.

Personally think its bonkers to suggest Berge doesn't have a football IQ when compared to Andre. The guy looked unhinged in a lot of his appearances and also started really poorly for them but grew as the season went on. Berge has a great grasp of the game and am more than happy we have him over Andre.

Just later in the window and the other suitors (namely us) signed Berge instead. Leaving their owners without leverage and having to back down on the extra they wanted with time running out in the window. Many such cases.

That is strange, since we have the Fluminense president who has commented that Fulham had an interest and were bidding. I mean, sure, he could have been completely lying but it would be a very strange lie.

Quote"Fulham are the club that have been looking for Andre since last year, as well as Liverpool. In January they made a new bid. At the moment, what we have is a piece of paper from Fulham with a proposal, and a piece of paper from Fluminense with a counter-proposal. We don't have an answer yet."

I believe our manager over someone who was desperate to flog their player for as much money as possible.
