I knew it. Romulo would be this season's Andre.

Player we never actually wanted who is far worse than what we have? Sounds about right

I mean we definitely put in bids for both, reported by Ornstein and Peter Rutzler.

Not gonna claim Romulo is worse than what we have as have never seen him play.

Quote from: WindyCity on July 26, 2025, 05:07:35 PMNot sure what's gonna happen with the FFC interest in Sterling and KDH.  But I do have a question about KDH.

Is he (KDH) really a good player, one we should be interested in?  Just curious.  From some of the commentary in the forum, apparently his 'best' season was in the Championship, which brought interest and promotion to PL football.  But really hasn't shown much in top tier?

Do folks here in forum welcome him in to the club?  And if so, what kind of money/cost is reasonable?
At the price that is quoted by several journalists, I'd, personally, move to a different target. Too much of a gamble for 30+ million.

Thx for the response SL.  Any thoughts on the Sterling issue?

Feeling from most people that have watched him a lot is that he's a really good player. I think a bit like with Mitro in Championship, he was too good for that league.

From what I've seen he's a decent player who could fit in well, but haven't seen him play a great deal.

Would rather not be giving £30m to our neighbours though.

I might be in minority here, but at the right price(both in terms of transfer/loan fee and wages), I don't see why not. Marco has pretty much always managed to get the best out of any player we have, and Sterling would be a good addition if we can get him back to 50% of his highest level.

Indeed, think it was established up the thread that Marcus's claim about Andre was based on his misinterpretation of one Silva quote.

Agreed.  Assuming pricing has been clarified, I think this is one of those where MS has to make the call.  Totally up to him and what he thinks.

Leipzig want Romulo but need to sell first.
Fulham want a 3rd striker and if he can play out wide then even better.
Leipzig push Werner into Fulham's path to stop them looking at Romulo
Leipzig sign Romulo
Fulham sign Werner who Silva puts arm around and he becomes the Werner from 2016-2020 before Chelsea ruined him.

Assume Sterling will eat our wage budget. I was disappointed to see us linked with him.

KDH slightly more interesting but I can't see Chelsea risking giving us a good deal on him (or Sterling for that matter).

Honestly I was surprised by both of these rumours.

Rather see us go for Fofana then Nelson 100%.

Will be interesting to see comparatively what the fees are. Fofana for 30 mil, or nelson for what sounds like 20 mil.

No, Silva said the press made up the story. You attempted to move the goalposts and create an argument as you do with everything.

Woolly Mammoth

I understand the feelings from some supporters on here about signing players from our neighbours, however never cut your nose off to spite your face as the saying goes.
Chelsea are the least of our worries.

Think of how Sterling and KDH could benefit Fulham, and they are only a couple of bus stops away.
The question for these players is, would either of them wish to come to a relatively smaller club like Fulham, and what would their chances be of winning any silverware.
So we're not in any position to turn our noses up or resent paying a transfer fee because they happen to play for Chelsea.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Here's the Rutzler report on Andre from last year https://xcancel.com/peterrutzler/status/1814268983257784517?s=46

Make of that what you will, but I'm pretty sure it's not completely made up.

Anyway won't waste anyone's time further on this back and forth.

People can draw their own conclusions.

No problem with KDH, but the other is a despicable diving cheat and nothing else!
I've seen Fulham supporters say this many times when he played down the road, why would he change and why would we want to see that at Fulham? We've always disliked divers/cheats at Fulham!
IMO

Tbh Wilson is a massive diver, AP a bit too. I don't like it, but its unavoidable in the game.

There is a line where it's too much, with someone like Neymar.

I don't see why Sterling gets so much stick really, but wouldn't want him right now ideally, even on 50% of his wages. If we're gonna be spending 100k+ on a player they need to deliver, and he's really struggled lately.

Sterling has looked crap for years now. Marco will need to use some extreme magic to fix him.

Lyon got rid of Textor and managed to appeal the relegation so I think he'd be at least £45 million. They are still in financial trouble but nowhere near as bad as earlier.
