Apologies - I'm just trying to make the point that having been a tad late in being " fair " with him and his re numeration it may be too late as it may still leave a bad taste in his mouth . I understood your original post but was just trying to add to it.

That's a valid point. As in business, if you see something coming, act before the other party can see it's an issue. Its now too late in Muniz' case but I remember when the minimum wage was coming in giving out pay rises. The reaction: delight at the recognition and motivation rather than being forced into it when the deadline arrived and the result would have been "so you were getting me on the cheap until forced into.it". Result: disaffection.

The scale of values is vastly different but the psychology is the same.

So, to summarise, Muniz' new contract is well overdue

It's fascinating watching this board to watch people make statements of any nature in the absolute as if any of us genuinely have any clue what's going on with certainty.

Almost everything is speculation here. Yet people speak and write in such definitive terms.

Who knows anything apart from the fact the club has only signed on backup gk which is poor by any transfer standards.

It may just be that someone random tagged him in a photo and associated news article, and nothing specific from the player himself. In fact it's most likely that's the case.

Depends on where he gets his news sources from?

He's commented on players a lot and they can get quite far and then not go anywhere. It's a shame if Muniz wants out and is pushing for it. He doesn't need to kick the toys out of the pram. He's hardly done enough for us to have that big a chip on his shoulder.

This space has a post that just repeats a rumour that was repeated a few days ago. Here we have several copy and paste about an argument started several weeks ago but now the participants have resorted childish sticky poo attacks on each other. This space is for a photo shop of a man in a Fulham shirt who is injured and will cost more than the the entire squad put together.

Here we just have space for a rumour from a friend who lives in a basement but knows a journalist who knows a woman who walks the streets at half past four in the morning asking people if they have a friend.But they know something we don't know about Silva storming out and setting fire to the Cottage. FACT.

Seems just a rehash of other rumours but no one's saying it's not plausible he wants a move are they?

He might well want a move but we don't know the ins and outs of how hard he's pushing for it either way -wether he asked not to play in bcd friendly etc etc.

If he doesn't play this weekend at all it's a clear indication then we expect him to move.

Rumour is gathering pace, lets see if Atalanta up their offer.

Which goes back to the question of what is the point of this board item in its present form.
In my opinion it is just for what snippets of information may be available and not personal opinions.

I think the chances of us not having made him a contract offer are next to nothing mate. There's been multiple reports all summer that we have been trying to tie him down to a long term deal and that we have been trying to keep every one of the current squad. Everyone has said that MS sees him as being crucial and you can see that he was always his man and his own signing as he said himself. You'd imagine we can/have offered as much as Atlanta as well. They have however become a big club in Italy and can offer champions league football which we are unlikely to ever be able to offer here.

Sounding more like Muniz will go but not until we have a replacement signed will he be able to leave.
Would imagine unlikely this week now and he will be part of squad for Brighton game or would Fulham dare to sell leaving only Jiminez !!
Common sense says it won't be the latter but nothing seems to surprise you where Fulham are concerned not just pre season but the last year or two off the pitch?
