Both good players but those prices are eyewatering.

Ive said this quite a few pages back, but these prices are what you nowadays have to pay for decent Premier League proven players.

It would also explain why some teams, like us, are having trouble getting deals through. More money generally means a lot more time spent on that transfer.

Liverpool are the masters of getting something for nothing. Liverpool FC on your CV adds £10m value minimum. Doak had 10 G/A (3 goals, 7 assists) in the Championship. Nothing to get the pulse racing. Neeskens Kebano did better than that quite comfortably. It makes me wonder if they dropped the ball when only getting £11m out of us for Harry Wilson.

It bugs me, because it artificially feeds Liverpool with the funds to spend on top quality players and stops rivals and also-rans from keeping up with them. But I like the fact that it is Bournemouth who haven't yet learned the lesson about Liverpool youth after buying Jordon Ibe for a king's ransom.

Absolutely. There was some report we would only sell for a ridiculous prize which Atalanta offer certainly is not.

We know how hard is to sign a good young striker so just offer Muniz a new, much improved contract.

I see this ending as a JP situation if he did really have his heart set on going. Big new contract on a 5 year deal to protect us, smash it for us for a year and go with our blessing if x price is met next summer. Then up to him to make sure he scores the goals for that price to be met and for him to get a big move.

Let me educate you,many years ago my 17yo baby sister killed herself over an 20yo  spotty face hippy who went off wit someone else.
The selfish bitch like most suicides dont think of the hurt they leave behind.
She destroyed my Mothers life,the life and soul of our family,who never smiled or laughed again until she went to her grave.
So I couldn't care if my sister is in hell,she destroyed my mother with her actions.Most suicides are the same Selfish bastards.They dont give a hoot what they leave behind.

Tbf, they did sign Solanke which was a pretty good move. Bought him for 19, sold him for 55.

Not really a serious or senior enough character yet for a captain imo. In a few years maybe although he might have moved on by then.

Robinson is a very intelligent man who's shown great passion for the club. My vote would be him, Lukic or Anderson when it isn't Tom

Imo Robinson has all the best attributes that a captain can have.

He is mostly level-headed. He is vocal. He is smart. He doesn't argue or gets into silly disputes. He is not a goalkeeper. He has stamina to last full 90 minutes. He is rarely out. He is energetic and involved, which can help inspire the entire team on presence alone in final minutes. He is seemingly respected and well liked by everyone. He has been with the club for long.

I see no reason for him not to be captain.

If Muniz leaves and we bring in Højlund for similar money then I would be happy.

I think Højlund is a good player and he's just in the right club at the wrong time. I think he would do very well for us and score a bunch of goals.
