Quote from: Hatch007 on August 26, 2025, 01:49:04 PMI was amazed to read yesterday that Josh Brownhill is still a free agent after winding down his contract at Burnley in June.

He's linked with Leeds and not suggesting at 30 (this coming December) he's someone we should look at; just very surprised he hasn't already been snapped up

Apparently going to Toronto FC who are offering him £100k a week. That's a joke of a wage.

Bronaldinho

Sambi Lokonga, I could see coming.

Arsenal to Fulham - it's a comfortable move for the players, and we have good relationship with them too.

Iwobi, ESR, and plenty more.

We're attractive to players from other London clubs that haven't got their move.

Lokonga when fit is a decent player though, and could deputise with Berge/Lukic - I doubt it would be an expensive move, but we'd need to manage him and get him fit again.

Lokonga is going on loan to Trabzonspor, just announced.

Onwards and upwards.

Surely the club would have scouted already and known if they want to bid or not; basing it on current match seems a bit ridiculous. Wonder if this is agent talk. Not sure we end up with Otele.

Imagine the meltdown if it happens again (it won't surely)

We cant have him once again, makes no sense at all
I would think that they are letting him keep his fitness up, nothing more.

Last minute desperation move is on the cards.

If we sign him up last minute instead of Kevin or some young, pacy left winger then I give up for this season

If we end up signing Willian YET AGAIN and announce it as if we just did a groundbreaking new signing I will, for once, be utterly and absolutely furious.

There is no link to us signing Willian.

He isn't training with Fulham.

There's enough things to be annoyed about this window, you don't need to make up things to be annoyed about.

Maybe we could've got a bit more if we sold last year, but that was before King emerged. We're getting a similar fee to what we paid for an out of favour player, not a terrible deal.

I would have him back in a heart beat. We would do a lot worse. Might have lost a yard of pace but he's a baller. Marco is a huge fan.
Did you actually watch him last season? And for a matter of fact, the season before that? He's finished, we need to accept it.

I did geezer but he didn't play much. Season before that he was pretty good. Like I said,  there's reports online that we will sign him for a year on a pay per play deal. I welcome it.

Marseille are trying to sign Florentino Luis who we've been linked to in the past.

Quote from: hopper on August 26, 2025, 09:49:47 AMDibling deal confirmed now for Everton. Can't. say I've seen a lot of him but they're improving their creativity quite a lot compared to last season. Thought Grealish looked good on Saturday as well.
Dibling looks a  good player on the light side maybe. Everton losing their Dogs of War image easier on the eye but easier to get around the Back.
A year ago Everton looked terrible.

Now with some Moyes adjustment, some decent signings and a an attacking trio of Grealish, Ndiaye and Dibling, they look really exciting - and having Dibling in there could be a smart move for him. Grealish looks exactly as good as you'd expect him to look after getting the Pep chains off.

What a great name Florentino Luis, sound like one of Al Capones henchmen
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Does start to feel like a story that being dragged out but I think we will see a deal done for Raheem Sterling ( if he's willing to take a pay cut  ) - right footed wing/forward who's most production position has been left wing ( 23/24 10 goals 11 assists but played a number of positions including false 9 and midfield ) . Had a minor knee problem in January , fully fit now . Looks like he's not in Maresca's plans , hasn't been listed in the squad for both games so far . Whether we play it safe and its a Loan with option to buy or a two year deal , I think will see him in a fulham shirt ( and yes the pay cut is the hurdle )
If it wasn't for the medication I,d be chewing on your skin

He ditched us and went for Benfica if I remember correctly, has been doing well there but not setting the world alight if I remember correctly.

€10m means we get the money back we paid for him. I guess that's fine, though I would've liked a profit.

Isn't it funny that when we want to sell a player, we move heaven and earth to make it happen within 48 hours but when we want to sign a player, no no no...

It is a ok profit this season considering amortisation at least.

Best of luck to him - really hard worker good footballer. Hope he gets into the national team for the World Cup. Not my favourite player but always gave everything . Thank you
