Why? Romano was the first one that came out with the Kevin story and had multiple updates on it already.

He also pretty much said we'd agreed to sell Muniz to the Italians, whilst he gets some right. He does fire out many bogus/bollox tweets too

To be fair his tweet said Atlanta were confident, and that talks were advancing. Nothing about Fulham agreeing to sell him. He does get them wrong from time to time though but in this case it did seem this was the state of affairs at the time

Bassey the warrior

I don't understand why we need another right winger. We already have Wilson and Adama as naturals, Iwobi and Sess can play there too.

We should use that money for the LW and number 8.

Moussa Dembele the 3rd

I guess Adama is out the door. Can Iwobi play 8?

Not heard any movement on Adama apart from Forest being interested, they never made a bid.

Iwobi has played as an 8 but he's looked better on the right or left for us in my opinion.

Oh, hadn't seen any of those. Clearly not paying attention. The fact it's a recent update is potentially positive though? I can't imagine the club would keep negotiating it they thought the difference in valuation was so wildly unrealistic.

Silva wanted two wingers last season to replace BDR and Willian. We only brought in Nelson. This season they're trying to give him two.

At least one of Traore or Wilson is likely going to be gone when next season starts, last year of contract and nearing 30. Both are decent players, if inconsistent, but neither are really players that seem able to push us to the next level.

Am not convinced by Chukwueze, but the plan was always two wingers. It depends on what the budget is for CM replacements really. If we have enough for a good CM and these I don't see the issue.

I thought Kevin was one of our 1st choices... but I read on here that we had missed out on all of our 1st choices and will only bring in "Has beens // Over-priced Journeymen // other teams unwanted scraps... ?...
Which is it??.. admittedly no-one has actually signed yet...

Fulham make progress on Kevin deal
Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas:

Fulham are making progress towards an agreement for Shakhtar Donetsk forward Kevin.

There is still plenty of work to do to strike a deal - but Fulham are pushing hard in talks for the left-winger.

The club want to sign a right-winger as well and have interest in AC Milan's Samuel Chukwueze, Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling and Arsenal's Reiss Nelson, among others.

Fulham also want to sign a new midfielder, with Andreas Periera increasingly likely to join Palmeiras.

What it is, is compelete speculation and not worth losing minds about until it comes out in the wash.

Could also be both these are targets Silva is happy with, but were identified higher up the clubs preferred list than managers. As we heard, club was unsure on nelson where Silva was more into him. 🤷 Who knows.

If Kevin wasn't a top target though who tf was though. Well see if we can get it over the line but keeping fingers crossed there.

Anyway, not long now to see what we actually end up with. Will assess the end result then.

I hope we can get both done, however Fulham's recent history on having 2 deals going at the same time have made me a skeptic. Lukic & Berge Jan 2023, Salisu & Bassey Jul 23, I'm sure there are more examples the early reports are we want both, but then we opt for one

FFC1987

Still more to do but getting both these wingers would put me solidly on the hype train. Just a CM as well please!

Somerset Fulham

Lukic and Berge in 2023? Did I miss something?

I'm going to come out and say it. I really hope that we get hold of Sterling too. Based on nothing but a feeling I think that Marco could work wonders with him

Deeping_white

Looks like both deals getting a lot of traction on mainstream news as well - fingers crossed for them to be done ASAP so we can spend the end of the window sorting out a CM and striker rather than 3/4 players

A reminder of what chuk was doing in la liga

That players in there, not fitted into current Milan managers plans but when on form there's plenty talent there to be tapped into.

We all wanted more direct wingers with pace...well kevin and chuk certainly tick that box

SerbianLad

I like the Kevin deal, even at 50 million. I like Chukwueze and I was very much interested in signing him in previous windows too, but the prices that are quoted seem way too high.

Neither are consistently great though
