REALLY!

I thought people wanted us to step up a level!?

I give up and just pray that the people in charge go for much better.

Gallagher?

Mullers OG

Selling Godo a terrible mistake IMO. He's our only young credible cover for Wilson on the right. Traore should be sold before him. Last night exposed yet again his fallibility and lack of both goalscoring ability and tracking back.

Godo is not a credible option for cover on the wing in the premiere league. Adama although inconsistent is clearly an EPL level talent.

Quote from: Pavel Dempsey on August 28, 2025, 09:28:29 PMKevin and Bakwa on the wings would be so much fun, for sure.

Even I would be singing the club's praises if that happened, would love it.

Bakwa definitely not happening though. Credible sources saying Forest have already put two bids in, and we never go head to head with other clubs on transfers. It creates an auction scenario which flies in the face of our core policy of maximum value extraction.

Agreed.
Godo is 22. Yes he could be another Jamie Vardy or Jimmy Bullard, but as a general rule, if you ain't getting any first team action at 22, you probably never will.

We signed ESR under those circumstances last season.

Adama is so underated my god. The guy was second highest for assists for us last year despite playing far less minutes than many. Yes he had a not so great game last night - but even then his control and great cross got us our first goal. Suggesting he should be behind Godo in our pecking order is mental, Martials done nothing to warrant such a situation for us.

Anyway, seems he's gone and we've seemingly got a good fee for him. Suggests we have some new wing quality heading our way.

Connor is about as good as we can expect at this point. We have no one in the 8 that has the profile of Connor, for me he would be in the starting 11.

We're not getting Connor Gallagher, his salary is €173k per week.

Chatting to somebody at work tonight and he tells me that Raheem Sterling has just opened up a football academy near Kingston and that his son has just signed for Arsenal,
He'll be leaving Chelsea in the next four days but I can't see him straying too far from London, reckon it'll be either us, Palace or possibly West Ham.

West Ham will spend the season fighting relegation I reckon... Bowen was arguing with their own supporters this week after their game v Wolves... Manager said "he's upset because he cares" ... the fans are upset because they are bloody awful...  ::thumb::

A football academy near Kingston? Whoever heard of such a thing.

Don't think so. The deal dragged on for weeks and there were rumours (questionable) of Palace interest at one point. Not sure they were ever seriously competing for the signing. Whereas here it's widely reported that Forest have made two bids and spoken to the player, before we've even entered the process. Quite different.

Quote from: Rambler on August 28, 2025, 09:41:55 PMGodo was probably not going to be a future star as was previously discussed. I can see the logic to selling him if the price is good. I don't know why blueco want him for Strasbourg though?

Also it leaves us really short now on the wings.

Blueco probably see him as a low wages, low fee bet that if he hits could be quite profitable. Pretty common capital investment strategy really which I think is their real purpose with Strasbourg. If they make 10 of these type of transfers and hit on 3 or 4 they likely bank a good amount of profit.

Just finished watching Servette - Shakhtar (1-2). Shakhtar will play in the Conference League this year. Kevin was  man of the match for sure. Scored the equalizer from a penalty spot and had a couple of good opportinties to score more. Can easily beat the oponent one on one. Does not hesitate to shoot from the distance. Diligently returns back to help defence if needed. Very passionate player.
In the post match studio the Ukrainian commentators compared him with Willian when the latter played for Shakhtar. Would definintely strengthen Fulham if signed. He was interviewed after the match by the shakhtar tv and he did not sound like he was about to leave his current club. In fact, he sounded very enthusiastic about his prospects of playing in the Confernce League. In the post match studio there was no mention of any possible transfer of Kevin. The Shakhtar coach in the post match interview mentioned Kevin as the key player in his team game structure. Also Kevin was showed celebrating with the team in the dressing room after the game against Servette. Just sharing what I saw...

Re:Godo. Good deal for all parties if true. 7 million is pretty much exactly the type of price that suits both us and Strasbourg. Any lower and it's probably better to loan him out and then see if we csn get even more than 7 million, any higher and it's an enormous risk for them, as realistically he hasn't shown enough in his career so far. Good deal for Martial too, as I'm sure he'll get more minutes there than here.

If it goes through, we'll probably have room for 2 new wingers (which seems to be the plan).

So doing what every single player does before they leave a club.

Interesting,I thought he made a couple key defensive efforts but also laboured back alot of the time leaving their lb with alot to do at times.

All in all a good performance from him but also for his flashy awesomeness in key moments, he also got caught on the ball sloppily quite a few times too overdoing it a bit. Didn't watch the interviews so a shame to hear no seeming mention of the move and that he insinuated he was looking forward to playing conference league given his reps were allegedly here to discuss a deal. Shame if so but we have been linked with several wingers at this point so who knows who we end up with.

Roll on Monday
Sounds like chuk first and we see what happens from therr

Apparently we tested the waters to sign Flaco Lopez for £10m but Palmeiras want to keep him until December and want 15m+ article says Fulham will return in December. Possible Raul replacement.

I just realised that Conor Gallagher is still only 25 years old. He's also played 21 times for England.

He would absolutely do really well at Fulham no doubt. He would be a top signing for us.
