TK has a title by his name but isn't in charge. Otherwise we would have to praise him for the transfer work he has done up to now. The rumours and on and off and on again are just rumours. People getting excited or angry is a waste of time.

From the BBC about the Deal Sheet.
Premier League clubs need to complete a 'deal sheet' in order to complete a transfer in the last two hours of a transfer window.
Clubs often leave their transfer dealings to the very last minute, and therefore have to submit a form to the Premier League to make sure that a transfer can go ahead.
The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that an agreement has been reached and also give themselves more time to submit the remaining documentation.
The deal sheet cannot be used before 17:00 BST and needs to be filled in before the transfer window closes.
Once the deal sheet arrives with the Premier League, the clubs have an additional two hours, or until 21:00 BST to submit all the required paperwork.
If all the necessary paperwork has still not been submitted after the 21:00 BST deadline has passed, the transfer will not be able to proceed.

Leaving things last minute is such a f**king dumb thing to do.

Yes, you may get better deals, but you are also up against everyone else looking to get better deals or chucking money at things to solve their problems once they realise how much money they have leftover or from sales to spend.

I don't see the genuine strategic advantage being worth it at all.

Yes, maybe one or two, but key players you want to bring in should just get done.

Players will also be happy to leave it to the last minute to get the best option for them, we're not Liverpool who can just go out and grab who they want, and even they have had to wait until today for Isak, these players don't care about the club, they're interested in themselves, if Sporting are in for Kevin, well if I were Keven I'd go to sporting, better climate, easier league, European football and similar remuneration.

We are trying to get better players in than the ones we have, unfortunately, that puts us within direct competition with clubs that have qualified for Europe.
