Quote from: FFC007 on September 01, 2025, 01:07:32 PMThis window has been a joke. The sooner Tony Kahn is booted out and we get someone who has some modicum of competence in how to organise a transfer window the better.

This will be a season of struggle and doom..mark my words.

Tony will still have his fan boys even if we sign nobody and get relegated.
And Tony will still also have his haters if we sign the intended targets and win the bloody Premier league.

That's because I have a huge dislike for nepotism, especially one where you put your son in important roles without the qualifications. And here's a Q to Lighthouse: if he has no/little say then why give him the titles at all? Just relinqish the titles.

BECAUSE HE IS THE SON OF THE OWNER AND IS ON THE BOARD. Otherwise why not praise him for all that he has done in the past with transfers? Use a bit of common sense. The game is corrupt and naturally rich owners like to have family on boards.

But we have praised him for the previous good, but lately it's far more bad than good. Definitely did well bringing in Joka and MS and Mitro, Jedi and Palinha, but it's been far more bad than good.

Just checking the club won more games than ever in their history last season?

The bar is set a bit extremely for or what consistutes "bad" imo we lost our narrowly last year after competing well for vast majority of it.

Berge was great
ESR was mixed bag last year but most were super excited on paper with him and he's clearly got a ton of talent.
Anderson a good defender who underperformed last year but still not "bad", playing well this year so far.
Raul on cheap has been very good business for us.
Nelson was good until bad injury
Cuenca been really useful
Great deal for Leno
Bassey brilliant
Squad kept together, youth mostly signed on
Etc etc

Of course all of this a mixture of transfer team but don't think recent requirement history is more bad than good at all

This window definitely leaving things late and if we don't come away with some key signings then absolutely this will have been a poorly managed window on the transfer in front

For one, not properly replacing Mitro, it's been several windows now. I don't see Muniz in the Mitro mould.

The fact we continually do most of our business late in the window is like playing The lottery. It can go well or it can go terribly, we still have a few hours. It can not end well today so let's just hope it's not terrible.

I think he said Kevin at least 'had been' but Chuka was. That was my interpretation.

They both got into a fight with each other over which was going to be announced as the first signing ... and subsequently both failed their medicals ...  :slap:
