Very much so, our very own super sub.
Every club needs one, but particularly FFC!

Also we were apparently willing to cover £60k of Sterlings wages, then pivoted to George which tbh is the right decision; at some point we needed to stop signing 30 year olds and take a risk on a young player and that's thankfully happened today, albeit too late in the window itself

Muniz must give him a run for his money there

Quote from: Angus Telford on August 26, 2025, 09:40:39 PMYou can pretty much dismiss our links with anyone aged 21 or younger. We've only signed one first team player in that age bracket in the last ten years (Muniz).

However if they have a 27 year old brother with triple the salary demands and a recurring injury problem, we're probably in for him.

Kusi Asare = 18

George = 19

Kevin = 22

Chukwueze = 26

Average age = 21

 ::wink::

Right so just to confirm, that's one player we might actually sign under 22 (permanently, otherwise what's the point?) and he hasn't actually signed yet. And I've had the grace up the thread to say it would be a good signing. Doesn't of course alter the past I was referring to which is one player signed in that bracket in ten years. But yeah, well worth digging out a week-old post on deadline day mate, go you!

Man City sell Ederson to Fenerbahce for €12 million.
Wow

Have the social team given up on natty one-word announcements? Or have they all been made redundant due to inactivity?

The videos I've seen of Chuck indicate a player with a streak of pure class.

My FIL is an Italian, AC fan, his description of Chuck was "prima donna", but what does he know?  :slap:

I agree with you, was just a joke.

It's 4 young exciting players.

All with permanent or option to be bar 1 loan of a Bayern Wonderkid.

Brilliant end to a long frustrating window waiting for the action to hit. Always felt we'd get quality business done in the end. We needed a handful of quality options and I think we've got that.

People freaking out and calling the club a disgrace all day - only for us to bring in 4 exciting attacking signings, so overboard. Was it a risk leaving it late, sure but I'm really happy with our attacking options now.

My only concern is CM, so not a 10/10 for me window.
1 point off for leaving it a little later than normal even for my liking.
1 point off for not bringing in a CM although we do have options there still.

Top Youth signed ✅
Squad kept together ✅
5 signings made ✅
4 high-quality young attacking players ✅
GK backup improved ✅

It's a 7.5- 8/10 for me. Well see how it looks by the end of the season with benefit of hindsight

this is of course IF all these come off as reported
If we miss out on George i'd drop it to a 6.5-7

Yeah I think since the summer Bassey came in we finally gave up on those puns.

Maybe outsourced announcements to Iwobi & Bassey.

hovewhite

Signings must mean Iwobi to an 8 role in the team.

I read we got £6m for Martial Godo from Strasborg. Good luck to him.  ::thumb::

Somerset Fulham

I've stayed away for a while as people became more and more ridiculous but it seems as though, as usual we have done more than ok (presuming the four sign) and the squad is once again improved.

Shame that Sterling doesn't seem to have happened though, that would have been handy, I reckon.
