Thank f**k for Wilson and Leno, MotM performances.
Cuenca and Diop need to start against Newcastle, imo. Andersen has been one of our top 3 worst players in every game since the Man City match(and including Man City match) and Bassey is obviously off to AFCON(but he's been pretty poor and I wouldn't start him even if he wasn't off to AFCON).

Silva being obligated to change the pairing the only silver lining to AFCON for me, as he would never change it otherwise. Can't wait to see something else. Beyond tired of those two together.

Wasn't pretty at times, but a vital three points to place us in a respectable position.

Harry Wilson my MoM, he's playing so well currently.  Leno did nothing wrong and quite a bit right.

Jedi looked super-rusty in the first half.  Better in the second.  Hopefully he doesn't have an adverse reaction.

Scott Parker's on thin ice.  His team are trying, but the quality isn't there and it's hard to imagine there will be three worse.

Overall, we are a couple of players short of being a good side with our Nigerian internationals starting.  Without them....

No one is saying that. But tonight we just proved once again we have to score 2-3 or more goals every game to win a game and sometimes we score four and still can't win.

Absolutely, can't believe how dysfunctional they are together. No understanding at all despite playing together a long time.

I miss Ream, he was a pair of safe legs.

Well it'll most likely be Diop and Cuenca as Andersen will probably be too tired. Bassey is a shadow of his old self from last season.

Alright, who voted for Bassey and Jedi? Own up...

Soooo happy that we've got the three points, but oh my days that was bad, that second half was as bad as I've seen us this season,
Burnley are a Championship side in all but name and tonight they were decimated by injuries and suspensions and yet at times they made us look like relegation candidates,
Robinson was bloody awful but I'll forgive him for that as he's obviously been rushed back but as for Bassey he can go to the AFCON for 6 weeks with my blessings,
A lot of work to do before the Forest game but if we don't tighten up at the back we'll get hammered.

Nero

Fine margins between Wilson and Leno but went Wilson involved in all 3 goals

OZ-WHITE

Parker won the midfield battle 1st half - our passing was too slow at times and our back passes were utter poison , they fed on that and kept possession, we were able to capitalize on their mistakes to take the lead . Just went to sleep for both their goals , not forceful enough to clear the lines and punished . I,ll take our first 3 points at Burnley since April 1951 but we should have put that game well and truly to bed
If it wasn't for the medication I,d be chewing on your skin

Don't think Calvin Bassey was any worse than
the others, everyone of them seems to
being playing as individuals and not
as a unit. shocking performance from them all.

Dodgin

Wilson was great but for me MOTM Leno, we would have lost without him

Twig

Bassey was really poor BUT given how rusty and poor Jedi was, did that put undue pressure on him? That's not a statement by the way but a question.

MoM for me was obviously between Leno and Wilson but I went for the latter. Honourable mentions to ESR who continues to impress since he came back in and Chuck who I desperately want us to sign.

Not sure why Kevin wasn't given a chance because I think he could have bee very effective against a poor Burnley defence.

Jim©

Bassey was absolutely dreadful imo. Dunno what his pass percentage was but he gave the ball away all the time.

Yeah he got the goal but it was on a plate, when he broke forward and shot there were two player just awaiting a tap in. Cuenca can't some soon enough for me.

Leno for me and that's just on the radio commentary.
Games like this need leaders to support, cajole and rocket when needed and that does not have to be the one with the armband, however that helps. Quite clearly that's another position we need to fill.

Phew a lot of wriggling around in your seat watching that but we got there.Gave the ball away too much ,lacked the ability to hold the ball up front and gave it away which put our defense in lots of tricky positions. Robinson got better as it went on and Tete looked tired .Lenos best match of the season ?
Also thought Iwobi looked out of position tonight . There were huge gaps in  the centre of our midfield.

Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Votes for Bassey and Robinson hahaha. Our two worst players on the pitch (albeit there were several other dreadful performances), gotta love the irony.

copthornemike

On a positive Chukweze, ESR, Leno & Wilson were excellent.
Jiminez however another concern as although in the starting XI anonymous. Some will say the service was lacking, but that is starting to be a theme now.

No one has thrashed Burnley this season. Last week they were down to 10 early and only lost 2-1 at Newcastle. They are on a losing streak, but they are no pushovers.

We would have won easier, if Robinson was match sharp. Both goals were really down to him. The first he ran away from Bassey creating a huge hole, and second he was ball watching and left his man free. Plus he missed a sitter.
