But will he? Isn't he likely to be part of the USA World Cup squad? If so, won't he be due a three-week break once his country are eliminated?

Well yeah but better having him for a few months this season when back and around the World Cup rather than deadline day in August 26! 😂

Even with the World Cup there will still be a training camp and pre season friendlies he'd be involved in. If they were willing to offload now at a sensible price it is a no brainer for me. Might make Marco sign as well as you can only assume he desperately wants him with us chasing him for two windows.

He's hardly tearing up the Championship this season at Bristol City; 7 goals in 25 appearances.

Plus, he'll be 28 in the summer. I'd rather we sign players with a younger profile / higher ceiling

As an American, I should be thrilled to have another US player at Fulham.  I became a Fulham fan because of Brian McBride.  However, Pepi has had years to make himself the US No. 9, and he has failed to do so, even being left off the 2022 WC roster entirely.  There is no shame in being No.2 to Folarin Balogun, but he cannot separate himself from Josh Sargent or Haji Wright, two Championship strikers.  He has his plusses, but the numbers PSV is purportedly throwing around are insane.

It's weird how obsessed we seem to be with signing him isn't it? Loads of people who know him don't seem to rate him. I can't comment as never really watched him. His mins per goal is very good but the Dutch league has a history of being way easier to score than the prem. Looks like someone at Fulham sees something.

think strikers prices get even more inflated in this window, also if i was the club why when we play 1 striker ,main one being is Muniz why would you pay Pepe to sit on the bench, and why anyone worth 35 million come as good a view as cravern cottage.

Josh Sargent put in a transfer request and apparently there's an offer from a Canadian team for about $18m. Surely we could make a bid?

But is part of this not injuries? He's still only 22 and presumably if he signed to a top league and managed consistant goals he'd soon step into that next level of consideration.

Decent championship striker tho in bad form apparently this year. Weird move for him that. Likely wants regular playing time in the window to be considered for the USA team for the world cup.

Not sure he's the requisite level for someone wanting to push for Europe. Seems more one of those you take a punt on as a newly promoted team, where if ya go down, worst case you have a champ ready striker.

It's definitely about game time. There's a young striker in Norwich who's in red, hot form in the last 1-2 months and they only play with one striker so Josh has had limited game time since then.

Just spend money and get the wolves striker, put it over some instalment's and performance related structure.

I watched a few Pepi videos and didn't think he looked up to it. Something a bit Gyokeres about the way he moves with the ball, lack of crispness in the finishing, too many off touches, no killer pace. I may even go so far as to say... is he definitely better than Carlos Vinicius? From even his best highlights reel, I'm unsure.

Now, obviously we're never getting Thierry Henry, but for me this would be a risky purchase at the price quoted.

Brilliant player for Villa,

Ok at Juve, not had a good run of it in a poor struggling forest team that should never have sacked its manager. Linked to us before.

Sort of player who if he could shake the injuries would have been a good fit for us, + id put money on Silva getting more from him than forest have.

But, has been unlucky with a seemingly persistent thigh injury of late although back fit I think now.

If you could pick him up for a loan with option there's worse scenarios out there. If he did well could allow us to part ways with Reed in the summer and leave room for Ridgeon to come through

Has missed 32 games in last two seasons. Shades of Reiss Nelson?

I appreciate he's coming back from different injuries....but I've not seen him play a good game this season for them.....

Haven't seen many of their players have a good game for them this season though. Even last year's formidable defence has crumbled this year

signed for them under nuno, 3 weeks later hes fired. It's been a whole mess there & Silva is much more Emery than Dyche.

There's definitely a player there, wether he can refind that who knows

Asked a forest buddy and he thinks he's quality, just not available enough.

Apparently he suffers from something called intramuscular edema which makes him prone to set backs

See what forest fans were saying a month back here

That injury issue being the case, probably best avoided. A shame as a good player

I agree if it's a loan with option rather than obligation it's worth a punt

I think his levels have dropped so much and consistently so, that I'd avoid like the plague, especially at the wages he's demanding. I've seen Forest players stand out despite some collectively bad performances to be honest. Gibbs White as a clear example. He doesn't look match fit to me still. One I could of been excited about had I not seen him for Forest this season but not sure I'd afford the form excuses at two different clubs.

Tammy Abrahams available around £10m ? Not sure if it would be a good signing now? Is he a bit yesterday now ? Injury record use to be questionable. Technically often thought first touch was poor but was a handful in other aspects of his game. Had a bit of pace but not seen him recently but price allegedly being banded about might make you think his dropped off? Not sure might be something there to still work with?
