So funny, Ray is going to be going mental

With my sceptical hat on.....what position does he actually play? I'm reading hes very adaptable but I can;t shake the 'jack of all trades, master of none' line here....

See Iwobi TBF.

That's Silvas fav thing, loves an interchangeable attacker
He's an RW predominantly, most of his games are there, but also played plenty games on Left and at the 10 too

Right winger who can also play off the left, would probably be a Wilson/adama replacement

@jolslover

Would be a great signing and show of ambition vs. easy option Sterling. Resale value and a real top 6 quality winger.

I know Dortmund were close to signing him a couple of weeks ago so wonder what happened there..

Injuries aside this is an exciting young talent with huge upside potential. To add to ESR, Kevin,King, Chuk,Muniz  it would be building a very exciting, younger and dynamic core to our attack.

I am gutted that it probably means the end of wilson though , but if we can't agree a workable wage then what can you do

Winger then, a lot I was reading was suggesting he could play 8/10 as well, right or left or even up top, and City fans couldn't really pin down a position so all a bit confusing. I definitely feel like Iwobis career is an example of a player being put in places because of his quality, rather than where he should actually play though, which has possibly meant he hasn't quite reached the heights he perhaps could have.

Anyway, very exciting!

All these links are very exciting. From what I can gather Bobb and Atta in particular are very high ceiling players. Really hope these come up. Only concern is the injury record with Bob.

Given Ray Rock over the Summer, this Bobb story is making me smile. He could be a very happy man!

Coastwalker

He'll fit in well at the Cottage, being prone to Hamstring injuries. ::wink::

Oh wow, never thought we could attract Oscar Bobb to join us! I'm guessing it does mean the end of Harry Wilson :(

35m is A LOT of money though, so I'd rather if Harry doesn't sign a new contract in the next week that we sell him for 10m or whatever to recoup some of the 35m.

They might have been put off,by his recent injury problems?

Sounds like with SCR, keeping players like Wilson, at his age and wage demands, just isn't a feasible model so this makes a lot of sense, assuming signing a player for £35m still means his wages would be comparatively lower than that of re-signing Wilson.

Yeh for me it feels like a lined up move in case of Wilson refusing to sign yet, whilst his agent plays the market to up his wage

Having thought that, it could well be this has been leaked by the club as just a smoke screen to push Wilson to sign if he thinks we're serious about moving on from him? Who knows

We surely aren't spending another 35m for a player to sit behind Wilson and chuk though.

A year ago I'd rightly have said bobb is probably out of range and unlikely to want the move. Having not played so much this season though and seeing it's tough to break into man city's team ,much like ESRs timeline ,its probably the right time to seek a move for him.

It's a realisation that I think nwaneri will probably reach next window or the following also.

Oscar bobb reportedly on 50k at Man City, so likely cheaper than what Wilsons agent is pushing for if reports are true his agent wants him to be top earner (120k+)

Would Bobb get in the way of Josh King's development path?

this signing would be a major statement.
To Marco ,the squad, and the fans.

Bobb plays wide, and King more central so not at all.

It's why I think the Nwaneri rumour didn't add up much as Nwaneri is more of a 10.

Allegedly Wilson's agent wants him on north of £150k but that could be hearsay - part of me thinks this news could potentially be either A) club have rightly said he's not worth more than £100k and walked away, or B) it's a very public bluff to get Wilson to sign up to a new deal
