Quote from: jayffc on January 20, 2026, 04:07:38 PMAccording to "Fulham Transfer" :

"Wilson's agent is pushing for 200k. He's off his rocker if he thinks they will get that.

Traore agreed with West Ham weeks ago on personal terms. He was kept due to short numbers.

If we add Bobb then the likelihood is Adama will go.

Pepi remains the no 1 target for strikers ... Parrott & Ferguson there but more to push PSV."

Take that as utter b.s if you so wish , just passing it on ha

I mean if they didn't want to sell Pepi then why would they care if we were after Parrott or Ferguson? lol

Being injured now it may appeal, we appear to have offered a decent amount now. If they think they could get 26m for a player that will be out another month and half or so and get in a replacement who can play now for them, given they have some striker availablity issues and champs league to think about - I could see why it might appeal. So who knows, but can see that adding some background pressure of hinting that we're willing to look elsewhere if they don't push talks forwards and find a replacement could be useful.

It's a guess but this injury may have changed things. Their other two strikers have long term injuries I believe. Prob forces them into the striker market now. To do that they may need funds and will also need to offload someone when they are all back. We put in an extremely good offer for Pepi and if we are maintaining that or upping it slightly when he is out for half of the rest of the season they may feel they have to take it.

Ah, I see. Looks like, according to Drewry, their other strikers seem to be injured too. If that's the case they might want to sell to us now and replace him or lose that opportunity.

If any truth in that salary request from Wilson then it is pretty ridiculous and can't be entertained.

I never know with Fulhamtransfer if they actually have any inside track or not, I don't really think they do.

Never understood things like this, if player wants to stay and agent is being difficult - can't the player just override the agent?

BBC Sport said we hadn't actually made an offer for Bobb, but we're in talks. Classic Fulham, all fur coat and no knickers.

Just out of curiosity, are wingers Marco's most purchased positions? Seems like we purchse 2-3 wingers every season.

Harry Wilson was the last winger we actually purchased before this Summer. Signed Willian on a free 3 times, signed Adama on a free, loaned Reiss Nelson, loaned Dan James and loaned Manor Solomon. You can count Iwobi but he was signed as a CM and didn't move to the wing until halfway through his first season.

What are you talking about? This summer was the first time since we've been back in the PL where we've actually spent any real money on real wingers. Prior to this summer we'd brought a couple in on free transfers (Willian and Traore) and a few on loans (Solomon, James and Nelson). The only "winger" we'd purchased was Iwobi (and I put winger in quotes because while he's played primarily on the wing for us, he's not really a traditional winger).

Don't forget Chuck as a loanee. It's no wonder the wings seem so unstable and different every season. Hard to have a stable wing when half of the ones that came in were loanees.

Alright, fine. Replace "purchase" with "transfer" or "brought in"

Exactly. Seems we are now finally rebuilding the position with younger, permanent transfers. I am assuming Chuck is a perm since we have an option and he's been great. We had just been bandaging the situation since we came back up. Probably is the most transferred position because we never committed to any permanent solutions.

Could the Oscar Bobb situation be smoke and mirrors to get Wilson off the 200k salary request?

Possibly. Although 2x quality players in every position has to ultimately be the goal for any ambitious team (not saying we're always one of those, but we are in a stick or twist kind of position).

200k a week ? Not an earthly! Unless his going to Saudi ?

howitis

Oscar B, speaks Potuguese having spent some time at Porto as a young lad. May well be that Silva has a long standing relationship or connection since that time ...

Guehi is on 300k, which was too much for Liverpool, so I'm guessing Saudi or a City/Barca/Chelsea but don't think he's at that level

Good question, up until recently we hadn't spent much money on wingers though.

22/23: Solomon loan, Willian on a free
23/24: Adama on a free, Iwobi signed
24/25: Nelson on loan, Willian returned in Jan to cover for him. Sess in on a free but seemingly as a LB primarily.

This season we did need a refresh there as we were looking tired and short on ideas in that position. This looks like a big overhaul with Kevin, Chukwueze and potentially Bobb.

Pure Sauce. sportwitness are dog s***, but hey, its silly season.

allegedly €25m enough to get Atta

That's a bit easier number for me considering I haven't seen anything outstanding from the matches I reviewed. I am not 100% if he will work for Marco's system of high defensive work rate, so it's possible he'd be a 10 for us in setting the early press, then being further up near the striker. He may benefit with space and pace of the PL though, not to mention anyone under Marco is in a good position to develop.

Appreciate in watching 2 full games you've seen more of him than most here who will only have checked his highlights,... and see you've been left unsure, but the Udinese fans who watch him week in week out seem to universally think he's top class, so assume they've seen something in him over the course of the last seaon and a half (I gather he also recently returned from a minor injury fwiw). If you'd watched our last game in full you'd think almost our entire team were absolute headless chickens 😅
And tbf this is the same poster who says he's watched every Norwich City match and thinks that Fulham should be in for Josh Sargent. So I'd be taking his player evaluations with more than a grain or two of salt.

The next player i would like off of the cab rank is Loïs Openda he isn't pulling up any trees at juventus but their is a player in there he is quick has great movement and can score goals . Juve have a obligation to buy him but I dont think they want him so we could do a deal in the summer they also have a massive interest in Mateta . 🤞
