Of the striking options, and prices, I think I'm most excited for Pepi. His stats reinforces his ability to press and intercept, seems more mobile than other options in those regards, but probably has some work to do on holding the ball up which say, Ferguson would be more attuned to but I feel he makes up for that in his better coverage in the press. Fingers crossed.

Behind the idea only if he's cheap. Definitely seems to have stagnated over the last couple of years, anyone know why?

Injuries at first, and then lack of confidence/form/consistent minutes.

The difficult thing for any scout/transfer team is deciding whether his impressive start at a young age was a flash in the pan against defenders that underestimated him, or a sign of quality that will surely come through in the right environment.

5m would be insane business from us tbh. 6 months left on contract. Not in our first or second team plans if we buy bobb. Great for the books as pure profit. 75k wages+ off the books

One who was grateful for his contribution the last couple seasons but this makes complete sense if there's any truth whatsoever

Just hope Adama and Westham have or can agree terms as his wages are quite high.....Incredible business if we can pull that off.

Mentioned in a few threads over the years I follow roma in serie A.

He's been alright if not spectacular here. Flashes of the talent he showed early after a just ok start.

He broke into the scene very young which we sometimes forget. Even I forget he's still only 21. He's had some key injury issues over the last 2 years which haven't helped, but when he has played of late he's steadily improved to my eye. I just don't really think he's ready to compete at premier league level just yet.

When I heard Celtic were in for him I thought that was about perfect for him, a team like that is the right move imo. a smaller league with European footy, or championship for me is where he should be heading to further his development as a starter. He has the chance then to quietly go about his work against lesser teams and develop, then put himself in the shop window for a big move in European games.

There's potentially a decent player in there but I just don't think he propels us forward at this stage.

Not to act all "I told you so" but I suggested we sell Adama in the summer when double digit transfer fees were being suggested and I was told that he was irreplaceable...

Apologies, but who was offering double digit numbers for Adama in the summer? I can't think of one.

Big rumours of Forest at the time.

Seemingly none I can see suggest the offer was northwards of £10m though? Only rumours I could see were between 5-7m still.

Was never happening due to the rift between Edu and Nuno. Nuno wanted him, as he does now, but Edu said no.

1. That was before we signed chukwueze and kevin. Irreplaceable? That feels abit of an overstatement ...The 'unique'angle, against selling him at the time as I recall it ,was specifically about not having the direct pace a player like Adama offers in the team, without replacing it. Those transfers that came, albeit late, then fixed that.

2. Did we ever get an actual concrete 10m+ offer and at what stage of the window? There were rumours but don't recall actual offers. Nuno wanted but edu wouldn't bring him in.

3. He did have our second highest assists last year. His form has since deminished with less playing time and emergence of chuk and Wilson's form.

4. if we'd have sold him that would have meant needing a third wing signing to replace him at a time when we were getting offers for Wilson who also might have departed for Leeds meaning it would have ended up being a complete sweep change of all wingers in the team. Highly unlikely.

It made some sense to keep him at the time. Now we've confirmed he isn't needed it makes sense to move him on if there's some interest. Cost us nothing ultimately bar wages

I can't find it either but the chat was definitely around the 15m EUR mark if I recall. Either way 5-7m and his wages off the books would still have been ideal.

rusty shackleford

If we get 5m for Adama I might die laughing

Exactly and Parrot is similar in that is his recent burst of scoring for Ireland and AZ just a bit freakish given his history?

Is that all it's going to cost us to get rid?
I think comments like this are ridiculous and incredibly disrespectful. I'm not singling you out, I could have quoted some other posts, but it's just ridiculous, imo. He was a very good and very important player for us in a lot of games, especially last season. He kept Wilson out of the team for a long time, and deservedly so, because he was playing really well at the time.
