Winter Silly Season Transfer Thread 2025/2026

After that unfortunate loss we need to sign a central midfielder strong athletic type and a striker

So according to this thread we need a CM who's strong, athletic, creative, ball carrier who can score goals and defend. So all we need simply is Steven Gerrard reincarnate.

Seems more of a signing for next season, get him fit, in-bed himself in the squad, compatibility etc. Then by the time the new season starts we will at least have Muniz and Pepi, potentially Jimenez or someone else?

For sure, but plenty chance he's useful this season. Reportedly back within 4 weeks.

Having goals off the bench could be crucial down the stretch. Especially if we end up with Muniz injury flaring up again

Might as well send him to the u21s and actually get him playing matches

Also with raul likely off in summer it's time to try and get Pepi up to speed.

He's been number 2 at PSV mostly anyway (mostly through lack of luck with injury timings and other players from). Hell knows Muniz is number 1 here and have to work his way into the team

I think it's only stalling due to trouble with Curtis Jones going to Inter beforehand. Not necessarily on Forest's end.

Why not sign him and loan him back to PSV. Muniz might already be back for the next match, and if not he'll be back soon. With him and Raul we're covered until the end of the season.

I think people are just jumping on it and spinning it. As someone else stated, they've known all window we've been bidding and wanted him. A lot of all the ITK stuff is cr*p

TBF to him, they're always fluid situations. Things can change very quickly with agents etc. I used to have a couple of  connections with ex Fulham players. I was at a family do once with a premier League player there who told me one of his teammates was signing for Fulham, practically all done & dusted, imminent announcement etc and it never happened. If I'd have posted that like I wanted to I'd have been slaughtered.

Yes we need a forward but personally where we are at this stage of the season and the way we are setup to play you could have a strong argument that a quality midfielder this window would improve us to finish stronger as opposed to say last season where we just petered out towards the end. If we don't get one in I would look say in the next month or so to start blooding Ridgeon in ready for next season where he should see more first team action.
