Lukic, Sess and Anderson for me. The only poor performance for me was Muniz, totally out of his depth.

Felt Berge should have left the keeper alone on TC goal, wasn't needed.

Couple of times I felt we didnt take the easy layoff for a shot at goal, Wilson once to Raul and the later Bobb

Sess for me for motm

And Robinson. With Lukic given a bit more free rein, this is our best lineup next to Tete and Kevin being available for starting 11. Nice to see we don't need everyone healthy to compete with a top 5 club, especially with the subs they have available.

Robinson was good when he came on; won tackles and several interceptions to boot and drove us up the pitch a few times

Lukic or Berge for me. Both really strong in midfield and played with a lot more freedom.

It was a really interesting performance. Extremely energetic, the whole team worked really hard to close Villa down. Hign energy, high press, worked hard for the entire game. No sense whatsoever of being on the beach. They just didn't allow Villa to settle.

Memory isn't what it was but did Leno  have a save to make in the entire game??

I seem to remember one shot that was straight at him and that was it. He commanded his box well, collecting some crosses and punching others far away from the dangerous area. Solid performance from him.

Great performance, loved Bobb putting their right back on his backside.

Dropping points to FFC, I think the Villa fans were in shock after the game.

Thought it was a good all round team performance in general. Few plus points thought the midfield worked well and that was always going to be key! Castagne did well all things considered as he had been very much out of form lately. Least said the better with regards to Muniz time on the pitch!

Quote from: Woolly Mammoth on April 25, 2026, 02:46:29 PMDespite attempts by VAR who were instructed by the establishment to sabotage our victory.
Many players had a good game with most of them playing within the framework of the team which was the cornerstone of our victory.
It is ironic that it looked like Wilson did everything he could to have a mediocre game against a team he has been associated with to join after the season finishes.
Despite that Mighty Fulham still beat them.
Except Wilson's 93rd minute free kick guaranteed the win. I voted for him on that basis!

Andersen immense. Sessegnon and Castagne not far behind.

We can make up for that by picking up as many points as possible from our remaining fixtures.

I remember a couple of seasons ago we beat Arsenalll and effectively ruined their title chances

Lets hope we can do the same next week

I also have noticed an improvement in Leno's sharpness in the last couple of games. Thought his distribution was much better today as well.

Thought Castagne was superb today and my MoM. Followed by Lukic.

Really nice to see players step up like that. Generally everyone played well, with the exception sadly being Muniz who is so low on confidence atm.

Well deserved win I felt.

Great performances all round, except perhaps Muniz - let's put it down to being rusty.
I voted ESR - constantly harrying, creating angles, chances.
Interesting and refreshing to see a change of tactics. Actually looking forward to Arsenal next week.

I kinda think we need to stop making excuses for Muniz now, ship him out end of season. I have kind of come round to thinking we keep Raul as a number 2, bring in a big money sticker and a 3rd younger striker to work woth Raul.

Sadly we missed the big bucks move on Muniz

Strange thing football supporters, on another site a few people saying ESR was rubbish, waste of space, completely not understanding why he was playing high up, his job was to press and press more, with a few nice touches thrown in. I voted  Anderson, but it could have been ESR for his work rate.

Thought an overall good show from the lads.  No one really stood out as outstanding, the team played well, especially defensively.  I voted Lukic, seemed very lively and forward moving, which we always seem to lack from the mids.  Wish he would be forward moving on a more consistent basis.  Others I thought could have got my vote were Sessegnon, Bassey, ESR.  But the whole team played well, fairly consistent.  Was a bit surprised at Villa's performance.  Thought they should have been much better, but credit to FFC for making them look less than a 3rd - 5th side (on points).

Regards chalked off goal - Just my own observation, but I thought that was a very soft call.  I've seen keepers being knocked around much more than on that play and nothing called.  Anyone else felt that was a poor chalk off?

Regards upcoming Arsenal - I sincerely hope MS and his staff are taking particular note of what they are doing on corners.  Setting up Eze on outside of box.  Did this several times v NU yesterday and scored a goal on this play.  As most here know, FFC has been particularly poor at defending corners, and Arsenal will have new plays up their sleeve and we better be prepared.

Additionally.....it wasn't missed on me that Iwobi was out of the lineup.  Team played well without him, and we recall that the team gathered quite a few points during AFCON (and his absence).
