Now this feels like a deal we would do: the new Andreas.
Dont forget, an Arsenal reject as well!  ::scarf::  :welcome1:

Definitely a great option - reasonable fee and he is only on around £50k per week at Arsenal. Seems like Hamburg will sign him though sadly.

I thought we could get Trossard from them as well - but no chance as he is on £180K per week!

Yeah, plus we dont need another right footed winger and we are also trying to lower our squads average age, not increase it

Nwaneri for me.

Rj Fulham

Every year we go through this, one of these days Fulham will shock us all and get some business done in a timely manner  :slap:

With all the dither and delay regarding the manager situation, this is surely going to delay any transfer business until the new boss is in place, and had a look.

Problem is, most players are literally on the beach.

But that's all ok for Tony Khan, our transfer window is the last day of the summer window anyway!

All the best talent is gone, or being snapped up, and we are in the market for second hand damaged goods and cheap offcuts.

Bit early for "all the best talent is gone or being snapped up isnt it?" ha lets not get ourseleves worked up already in early June...

I mean definately would be nice to get moving early but this is more than early... most transfer activity doesn't happen till mid-late July through August anyway for most clubs, especially with the world cup on.
There will be a few deals here and there outside of that and there will be rumours abound, but very little will be getting confirmed till later one would think. We're being linked with interest and talks with players already just as other clubs are so we shall see. I suspect whoever comes in Marco has made clear already his thoughts on the late business so we shall see if that is something that changes a little this window anyway.

I stand by my feelings that the best managers we have had at Fulham are those managers like Keegan, Tigana, Hodgson & Silva who were able to bring in marquee signings of players who had previously played for them or signed for Fulham because of the manager.
So I worry about the likes of McKenna & Frank if their reputation is strong enough to bring in such Marquee signings.

According to talknonsense radio, couple of German clubs want Leno.

I agree, I think that the reputation and global exposure of a manager is significant in helping the club to identify but also to actually bring in their transfer targets.

It depends on the club. When Liverpool announce Iraola, new signings will be joining because of the club more than the manager (who's not won anything). At a club like ours, the manager is important. An ambitious manager will help us to attract ambitious players, while a safe pair of hands may not.

If this happens I'll be getting flashbacks to when we quietly showed Schwarzer the door for no reason.

Delap might be worth a punt. Just bought a house in London, but not working out at Chelsea. He did well at Ipswich and with McKenna in the mix might be interested.

What i've seen of him he's a thug in football boots. Lots of after's so, a red card risk most games, Muniz is better.

We need someone who's a bit of a thug and it's something we've missed dearly since Mitro left. This team is soft and we're easily bullied. If Mitro can be tamed then surely he can.

He must be. Delap scored 12 league goals for relegated Ipswich - that was 1/3 of all of their goals. You could say Muniz had a better g/90 mins but the fact that Muniz has been with us already for 5 seasons and not played more than 1600 mins (that's not even half a season) in the PL in a single season means he's never going to make it with us.

I'd quietly show Leno the door whilst thanking him for his service. He's been poor and reputedly our best paid player on £130k a week.
