Inflexible and arogant, we certainly dont need more of the same

Quote from: C Block on June 09, 2026, 04:38:37 PMTo answer my question as to "Who do you want to replace Marco Silva ", the manager I would give my right arm for is Regis Le Bris at Sunderland, they played a wonderful style of football last season and it was a close call between Iraola and Le Bris as to who was manager of the year,
If we've got £8 million to throw at McKenna then we've also got money to throw at Le Bris,
Whether or not you would leave a Club like Sunderland to join Fulham well that's another matter, but they certainly couldn't match the wages we could offer,
Money talks and Managers walk.

Sunderland were possibly the worst team we played at home last season. At theirs, though i didn't go, they didn't look much better.

Great news everyone it's NOT Kieran McKenna 👊🏻🍻

Oliver Glasner would be good, but as I stated earlier I would go for Southampton's manager Tonda Eckert despite the "spying" scandal.

I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Lee Carsley would be my choice

In his short spell in charge of England National Team, he was too possession based for my liking.
(Carsley).

I liked Lee Carsley in Aliens 3.

At last a name we can all get behind, Alvaro Arbeloa , the guy that was managing Real Madrid prior to Mourinho taking over,
According to reports he has already held talks with Fulham about taking over from Marco Silva,
He hasn't got a wealth of experience but is certainly in the up and coming category,
I'm actually excited about this one based purely on the fact that he must have a great knowledge of the Madrid reserve and U23 squad,
Didn't Al Fayed once sing "We're not Real Madrid, we are Fulham "

Out of curisoity where is he a name we can all get behind?not saying not a bad option he won't 60% of his games at Madrid but just curious. Of course that 60% could be the reason. The diverse opinions on the board always make it what it is regarding managers and signings.

Of some of the names mentioned Arbeloa isn't a bad shout

What a load of tosh  :slap:

Knocked out of the Spanish cup in the second round, QF of the champions league, and finished 2nd - so a complete failure in his 28 games being a professional manager. Get him in because he was brought in at Real Madrid as the equivalent of Callum McFarlane at Chelsea to hold the dressing room together before they could get a proper manager in? Seriously?

C Block

No you're absolutely right, I'm bad, we should have gone for Lee Carsley 😟

I wouldn't worry when our Dof climbs out his bedroom window with his mate Wendy on his way to never never land to watch wrestling he'll pop down a chimney and pluck out a ready made manager a day before the transfer window shuts after he's bought 5 new Anderson's and give teti a new pay rise and extra 5years as he keeps getting injured and we don't see him play,he would like to interact with the fans I bet.

I don't really know anything about Arbeloa. Am I right in thinking it's a "higher risk higher reward" kind of thing?

Absolutely. He could be tactical genius, the next big thing, but he certainly didnt show it at Real.

I fear the reason some are excited is because his last job was at Real, even tho he would never had gotten the Real job unless he was already at the club, their presidents favorite and a former player at Real.

Very, very underwhelming and honestly, I would prefer McKenna over Arbeloa.

Im hoping for Amorim at this point.

Quite possibly, but doesn't that apply to all coaches?
Bournemouth appointed Rose and Palace are about to appoint Sage, surely the same thought applies there,
Arbeloa was involved in the Champions League last season, Spaniards are known for having great technical ability, an appointment like Arbeloa would be great for the likes of King, Kevin and Bobb.
I'm currently at T5, no doubt when I land at my destination I'll be greeted with a picture of Lee Carsley on the Cottage balcony holding a scarf above his head 😄

Guy on Ipswich forum saying its all a ruse, and McKenna is coming here.🤣
