How anyone can condone the fact our co owner has crept in the back door when silva had left he mentioned he would like to engage with fans more often.Well he works for Jacksonville jags, make believe sport wrestling and now our transfer policy which he wanted from the start.I know he brought Anderson on loan 1st time and then overpaid second time be lucky if you get 12,000 if lucky. He doesn't watch us play has no intention too would you put in charge he is looking at cheap loans from Spain because of buying players too old and resale is poor he's best job would be in our government or trumps bullpoo with no end product.I can see our new coach getting the blame while Tony's at Wembley watching men in tights remember the saying too many jobs and master of non.

If he's not here yet then who's training the ones who have returned? Pretty sure the team returns today

Apparently he had a pre booked holiday which he informed them about during the interview stage

Is it not like school teachers, that you can only take holidays at certain times? Why would he book a holiday at a time when any new club he would manage would be expecting to start training for the new season? Real Madrid finished weeks ago, I'm sure he would have had enough time to hop over to St Tropez for a little R&R. Quite odd if true.

Like any new job, there is a lot of admin work to be done. Also there is a new coaching support team to consider. You'd want all your team there at the same time. Even when a new manager gets dropped in mid season, they watch from the side lines normally. No doubt there will be meetings going on with the remaining staff in the background, who will be more than capable in dealing with the returning players going through fitness work. no doubt will be at MS on Monday.

In the meantime TK , scouting and him can discuss possible new signings over teams.

Yes, as ever if you want rumours alone, it's best to just follow FFN on X, As pretty much every one ends up there before being shared here anyway.

I've seen multiple people online saying Manchester United will try and get Berge now that the deal for the other player they wanted to sign fell through.

Would you sell him? And if yes, at what price?

Imagine the absolute outrage at the man u fanbase if they go from thinking they are going to get Fernandes and Anderson, but end up with Andrey Santos and Sander Berge  :slap:

We signed him for around £23m, his market value as of today is around £25 m, according to TM. He is in his Prime years at 28 and still got another couple of years left on his contract.

Id say £35m but would settle for £30m and be quite happy with that. That sort of player wont ever be worth much more at that age tbf.

If you will believe it, Fulham has put a 45m price tag on Berge

I can well believe it. He's a proven PL CM in his prime years!

Whitestone

We've already lost Wilson and Jiminez. I wouldn't want to lose Berge or any of our regular first teamers.

£30 - £35 million would be daylight robbery so definitely sell at that price. Man U will come to realise that they're replacing Ugarte with Ugarte!

If Anderson is worth £116 million, Berge is worth at least £90-£100 million

Anderson - English £116m
Anderson - Swedish £5m
McAndrew - Scottish £15m
Andriyenko - Ukrainian 500k
Andrzejczak - Polish £3m
Andrić - Croatoan £12m

Woolly Mammoth

Fulham could do themselves a favour and start by signing Shea Charles from Southampton, he's only down the road all 6ft 2in of him at 22 a midfielder.
A couple hours away and not halfway round the world.
They need to tie him up before someone else gets to him.
He would be more than just a good addition, Fulham must be proactive as I would like to see them put Chelsea to the sword on my Birthday.

Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Definitely YES! With Norway doing so well in the World Cup, Berge's value will never be higher than in this transfer window. Not even remotely close. His age is a factor here as well. If we're ever gonna sell him, it needs to happen this summer. At what price? Ask me again after today's quarter final.

The club needs to be far better at selling players at the right moment. We've been rubbish at this for years now. We have only sold players for high transfer fees when the players themselves have forced a move. This won't be financially sustainable for much longer. Especially with our ageing squad. We're getting scaringly  close to the point where a MASSIVE overhaul is needed.

The club needs to significantly improve in this area if Fulham is ever gonna become an established, sustainable Premier League club with ambitions about Europe. With our current transfer strategy I fear we're heading for a rebuild in the Championship in the not too distant future.

It appears after reading todays' 'stuff' that AA top 3 targets all RM loanees.  Not sure how to view that, unless there would be buy options....
Should the question be raised how much recruitment knowledge does Arbeloa have outside of Real Madrid's youth setup? One of my concerns with this appointment is Tony gets to sit back in the drivers seat with no passengers?

More to the point what qualifications do you or anyone else on here have to question the process or this mans ability before he even takes his coat off?

He's wearing a coat. In the weather!!!
