His stocks are currently down and they want to get rid but he's got all the attributes we're apparently looking for (except age). Would fit Arbeloa's way of playing bettet than Nuno's as well.
Think we were linked with him back in the day before he joined West Ham. Can't say that'd be a signing that would fill me with confidence, centre back from a relegated team, but could live with it if he was backup.

Doesn't exactly fill me with confidence but there can be two sides to a story

He has no future at Fulham.

Certainlyfeels like Luke Harris window has passed here, this feels more like an attempt from the club to get him in the shop window for some pure profit. IF he suddenly has some ungodly loan performance out the blue, who knows...but think it's more likely we just hope he plays well enough that someone pays us something for him

Had injury issues when out on loan, but uninspiring when fit.

In fairness he is only 21 and a half, so still quite young, but agreed that he really needs to be making an impact at Wigan. I would have more faith if he'd done anything at any of his loan spells but he hasn't really.

Enciso is really good, he played for Ipswich in the prem before and used to play for Brighton, would have loved him at Fulham. Really great workrate and press conference but a lot of technical skills also

Personally, would avoid JCT - we dodged a bullet there IMHO. His form was very temporary, and ruffled feathers at nearly most clubs he's joined.

Squad harmony is critical.

Got to agree - Really dynamic + high work-rate. Would have been unreal under AA

Enciso is decent but realistically we got Palacios, King and ESR all there with Bobb Iwobi and TC also capable of playing CAM. Not a position we need to spend 30m euros on therefore.

WE need  a R.C.B That matters.
Realistically we're not signing anyone in time for the Chelsea game now, so expect Bassey and Cuenca to start.
Hopefully it's Axel Disasi after the Chelsea game.

Seems a strange one this re Ait Boudlal- we get rid of the player (Diop) that is picked ahead of him for Morrocco.
He's only played 20 odd first team games and they want £30m+ for him.

Quote from: C Block on August 16, 2026, 11:56:37 PMCan I just say (and not for the first time) that Zian Flemming is a wonderful player, and exactly the type of player that we should be looking to compliment our striker pool even if it means JKA going out to gain experience until he is ready
Zian could hit the ground running immediately whilst our others still need time, unfortunately in the Premier League you don't tend to get much time.
Fully agreed I think Flemming is a good striker, but as mentioned before we have three strikers now so we can't afford to be dropping £20m+ on another one. From the player's perspective I can't see why he'd choose to come when there's so much competition for that place now (and he'll know that he'll be at least second choice after Garcia).
I respectfully disagree, as I said we need a striker that can hit the ground running right now whilst Garcia finds his feet, Flemming wouldn't be coming in as third choice striker he would be coming in as joint first with Garcia,as I said before JKA needs to go out on a season long loan to gain some valuable experience,
If we go into the season with Garcia, Muniz and JKA as our options then we are going to be in real trouble,
Some of you would have had a meltdown but Danny Welbeck would have been an excellent signing for us, giving us that vital experience in a transition season, someone for Garcia to learn from.
I'll say it again, we must sign another striker

Twig

I have some sympathy with C Blocks concerns. We may have three strikers on paper but JKA needs experience and should be loaned out, Garcia has a high ceiling but needs time to settle and Muniz hasn't looked like a Prem striker and isn't on an upward trajectory.
I'd love to see us sign a striker with a bit of experience while we sort out the other three.

Sorry but we didn't spend £40m+ on a first team Real Madrid player, Spanish international and Club World Cup top scorer to then restrict his game time by rotating him with a player who just got relegated with Burnley. I get that he will need time to acclimatise but I don't think the way to do that is spend a significant portion of our remaining transfer budget on the area of the pitch where we are arguably best covered at the moment.

I like Flemming, but he is not what we need right now.

I don't really see why we should be a day care for strikers we're not that sure on, as I said I don't think we would have spent big bucks on Garcia and Kusi-Asare combined if we didn't think that they would have a noticeable impact this season.

Yeah, I think JKA will be with the senior squad this season. In the past, AA has used 2 striker systems when he rotates. He'll also give JKA some cup minutes I imagine too this year. All good for his development - last season was all about embedding him into a new culture and country. He's young, and will develop so much better by staying with the squad this season and getting minutes where he can.

Jka wasn't big bucks.. wasn't he £5m or something?

Correct but I mean in aggregate. I'm not expecting him to start very often but I expect him to be in and around the first team and chip in with goals.
