A realistic option given that he played under Arbeloa. Although, doubt he would choose us over Liverpool.

Unlikely he sign for anyone in this window though due to the injury.

For me, I thought maybe it's AA's kids name or something - but then the fact 17 was Raul's number at Madrid until this summer, feels like there is more to it, and I haven't seen it picked up elsewhere.

Can we please stop discussing Raul Ascensio - there is no chance we sign him this window because after it closes he's going on trial for being accused of circulating an explicit video of a minor. Sure he might be found not guilty but we're not going to sign someone who might end up in prison a few weeks after we did sign him & the optics of trying to sign him would be quite poor too

🚨 After Arbeloa's call 📞 yesterday #FFC have contacted #GironaFC today to discuss a deal for Arnau Martinez.
Given the speed in which Fulham have entered negotiations it is thought that the conversation was positive & the player despite previously giving his yes to Valencia, is open to the move to Craven Cottage. Fulham are financially prepared to pay his full €8m release clause.
Valencia practically closed the deal yesterday so Fulham will need to move quickly if they want to hijack.

Ahh, I still thought we would be able to sign him once Madrid had a new CM but I don't think this will happen now.

I don't think Jordan James is the level we should be looking at - there's a reason we are competing with Championship clubs for his signature.

Be interesting to see if we go for Manuel Angel (I know we were linked earlier in the window)- reading Madrid forums he gets a lot of praise and seems to be regarded in the same bracket as Palacios

Not really, I'd say our starting 11 for Chelsea is strong (just beat Champions League Stuttgart).
Still hoping we bring in 3/4 more before the deadline though.

Was always going to be the case, our last couple of signing will be loans and that wo t be until late in the window, so we have to suck it up and see
