Anybody else getting overwhelmed with all the rumours floating round today.  :slap:  :slap:

Not looking very promising does it.

It'll be a last minute rush and dash for second hand goods and deadwood dross from other teams.

Quote from: v on August 30, 2026, 06:49:32 PMI wonder where this performance leaves the Manuel Angel transfer ? (another AA youth discovery)

Will TK pause before opening the chequebook Tuesday evening ? 🤔
IMO one of the last things we need is another lightweight, young Spanish player (especially one as small as Angel).
We already have too many lightweights in our midfield/forward positions.

AustrianGeezer

Dont understand why we'd get rid of JKA so late into the window. Now we gotta scramble for a replacement in that departement aswell unless AA wants to play a youth striker there.

Super Mick

Where is everyone getting rumours from? I've seen nothing new since yesterday.

The old adage it's Fulham we are talking about here? I am confident there are likely deals being completed and medical's taking place as we speak. They are not going to let a rookie manager fall on his sword this early. Would be a dereliction of duty and TK knows that!
I am by no means totally supportive of the board at Fulham but the last thing they will want is a return to the Championship especially with that shiny new toy on the banks of the river to up keep?

Yes, I have wondered was his interview(s) done in person or via zoom.
How much due diligence was done.
We're questions asked about the preferred style of play and what alternative tactics he had in the event of plan A not working in certain games.

Quote from: jayffc on August 30, 2026, 08:30:41 PMI can totally see the concerns regarding Manuels size, he is deceptively good on the ball for his size and press resistant though. But, of course, different level in the prem. If it is indeed to be him, here's hoping he has the quality to step up.

These kids are adjusting to the prem, they are gonna have good and bad days, ultimately though we have already seen in flashes their brilliance too. Just as we shouldn't get too carried away when they do something insane, we probably shouldn't get too carried away when they have an off day. Bad day at the office this week, we go again next. Hopefully with a bit more fire in the belly at home to Palace.

Just wish it was a little more phased. We could be looking at a team where so many players are adapting to a new league simultaneously. All for these lads as they obviously have talent, and we had to do something about the squad. It just feels so sudden.

Hopefully we can bring in some players that can lead and won't need to adapt as well. Raul was perhaps our key leadership figure alongside maybe TC, in that he brought calm and led by example on the pitch, and visibly has a good impact on his younger teammates.

Look around the league though, there are teams with far more new players and younger teams doing just fine with less experienced players in their squad than us.

For me yesterday the issue wasn't experience - we only started 2 of our new signings...we just didn't press like we've been intending to and lacked energy massively. Our two experienced players Berge and Iwobi did nothing in the middle and Anderson and Leno both had a blooper moment too easily beaten.

The energy levels just weren't there as cottage tactica broke down today
Yesterday was the third game in six days. May very well have some bearing on the energy levels.

Amissah I get, but don't we need three strikers during the season? If one got injured we'd be criminally understaffed

I have to assume
1. This involves a recall option
Or
2.We will sanction if we can bring in a hybrid attacker/loan for a vet

All feels a bit of a scattergun and messy end to the window to me. We've had ages to figure this stuff out
Like the Walham Monday night

I thought this when AA was appointed Ted, but I'm sure TK said AA presented a dossier on the players during the interview process, showing who and how they fit in his system

Maybe I misheard

Tutto Atalanta is reporting today that Fulham are preparing an improved €27 million offer for Raoul Bellanova.

And, for what it's worth, DigiSport Romania is reporting that Andrei Rațiu's transfer is 99% done.

Rambler

We seem totally fixated on players which clubs won't sell like ait Boudal and bellanova. Move on. There are other CBs and RBs out there!

They are both RB's though?

demeant0r

So we're about 30 hours away from the window closing and absolutely no sign of any centre back joining?

Lordedmundo

Yes - I can believe we are in for one, but

Yes - they are. Incredibly unlikely we are going for both, so one report is total bull!

Until a deal is actually done, they can both be true (or false).
