Anyone familiar with Fulham deadline day knows that the way we do it is first confirm some players out on loan around 9:30, then around 11:15 we do a teaser, announce the first at 11:30, then the second one gets done at midnight.

Followed by confirmation that we didn't get paperwork done in time.

The inevitable Rutzler tweet at 07:14 am "understand the deal sheet was in but Fulham weren't able to register him in time"

Deal sheets have to be in by 9PM this window.
BBC say deal sheet cannot be used before 9PM. I'm confused.

Deal sheets can't be used before 9pm but have to be in at 11pm latest then have until 1am to send the final stuff in I believe.

Angel for £3m.

For 3 million he can be a flop and it doesn't matter so hopefully the pressure is off for him. To think, he's basically 10x cheaper than bobb, Kevin and ESR each.

He looks like a really tidy player if a bit physically small but that hasn't stopped the likes of modric and other small players being a success in England.

The Club is delighted to announce the signing of Manuel Ángel for an undisclosed fee from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old has agreed a three-year deal, keeping him at Craven Cottage until June 2029, with a Club option to extend by a further 12 months.

A two-footed central midfield player, Ángel is comfortable with the ball at his feet, is intelligent with his movement, and has a keen eye for a pass.

Having started his career at Sevilla, Ángel moved to Real in 2018, linking up with the club's Under-15s initially, and working his way up to Castilla – where he was named captain by Álvaro Arbeloa going into last season.

It was also Arbeloa who gave him his senior bow, with the player appearing four times in La Liga in the second half of 2025/26, in addition to featuring in each of their UEFA Champions League victories over Manchester City.

I really don't know if signing a load of Castilla players is great or not. They could be brilliant, unearthed a few gems and playing Brighton and Brentford at their own games. Or, let's face it, they might be total **** and betrays a total lack of imagination from our new coach.

According to AS, Affengruber had a €50m release clause in his contract.

Fulham have apparently agreed just €10m plus add-ons because he was in the final year of his contract.
