I'm not sure your interpretation of the tactics is correct. Full backs will be further forward so will need to recover a defensive position quickly. It's our centre-backs and whichever midfielder that drops between them who will need to repel - or at least hold up until reinforcements arrive - the first wave of an opposition counter attack.

Why are there people on here constantly having digs at the "moaners". I've followed this thread through its various meanderings over the months and it hasn't seemed all that negative to me? If there is one negative post it gets jumped on by this small happy clappy brigade. Guys there's always going to be positives and negatives, both can be equally justified so get off your fellow fans backs.

As for the RB position, while Ratiu may have been an upgrade, before he was mentioned I bet most of us believed RB was one position we didn't need to worry about.

Especially after Timmy & Kenny's performances in our first two games.

At some point you have to blood youngsters to see if they can cope and I believe Zeppa can contribute this season.

As for yesterday's signings, they seem like the kind of players who can slot into positions we need and its now down to finding the right combination that can score goals across the team.

Just wish we could have done this business weeks ago but 7 players in without braking the bank!

Not if Arbeloa isn't too stubborn to play Tete and set up the team more defensively in games where defensive safety must be a priority.

Defensively Tete is possibly the best RB in the Premier League. I still remember that game against Chelsea where they subbed their LW twice, and Tete effectively nullified THREE of their LWs, one after another. I'm not sure how many millions worth of left wingers he completely neutralized that day, but that was one of the strongest defensive performances I have seen from a Fulham player ever!

I also think all the talk about Tete's lack of pace is highly exaggerated. I'm very happy that he stays, even if that wasn't the club's intention. I have a feeling we're gonna need him when Arbeloa (hopefully) realizes that we can't play kamikaze attacking football in all games in the PL.

I think he has to go back three. The four full backs we have are more than capable of playing wing back. It'll probably make Robinson more effective.

I don't think we get the opportunity to sell Kenny for the reported fee & get his alleged high wages off our books again.

I love him but his injury record & apparent not fitting with our new style makes not getting a RB to fit the new profile a shame.

However. Kenny on his day is one of the best RBs in the league so it's not the end of the world.

Can someone remind how long Kenny has remaining on his contract?

After helping Fulham to three consecutive mid-table finishes back in the Premier League, Tete agreed a new three year contract to prolong his stay in SW6.

By my calculations that's two years remaining of his current contract.

We certainly brought in new and younger players in the positions that many of us have been looking to improve. It now depends on how well they adapt to the Premier league. They have the potential to suit AAs style if they prove to be good enough. 🤞

Well it is a dig, whether you want to dress it up as a call for unity or not, happy clappy brigade as a label doesn't sound that glowing.

FWIW i think the debate on this forum is well mannered, well thought out and almost always respectable. We'll never all agree and reading the opposing sides of an argument are what makes it interesting.

BTW I am definitely a fully paid up member of the HCB.

It's a tricky one - if you look at the incomings it's pretty good, but we missed out on a lot of targets and left it late again. Given that we needed such a rebuild, time was the one thing you couldn't buy this window.

Well if you insist on continuing how do you think bed wetters sounds or the moaners etc etc? What I am trying to say is that we should see both sides. But it's up to you whether you want to show a bit of tolerance and understanding or not.
