Happy with the Fonte rumour - he would work well alongside Kamara/Woodrow. This could be proper strengthening!

Also, I wondered if anyone had heard anything re: Enrich or did that die in Jan?
I don't like to comment on players I cant get direct info on, but what I understand this is our second offer, this offer is significantly higher than our first, by 50%+.

Re Rolan, that deal is DEAD, if Aluko was to go it may be revived but I don't see it as we have wide players we also like the look of in case anyone asks to leave. The 15 million someone mentioned for Aluko is way off, no where near that, 10 million is the best we would get sadly, but given he was a free that is a good deal. However, he isn't going unless he forces the move, and he will only do that for a premier league move

That makes perfect sense. Fonte would complement Kamara whereas Rolan wouldn't.

Also do not think he wants to move, he wanted to be near his family who live in Surrey, his sister plays for the dark side, I know Reading is not that far but really can't see it happening.

Saw HITC say we're after Joe Bryan, Bristols left back. Attacking player.

173 matches and only 23. 100 games in the championship. Looks exciting. Can score as well - albeit in league one.

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/leeds-step-up-chase-for-championship-defender/

Football Insider reports that Leeds United are ready to ramp up their interest in Bristol City left back Joe Bryan, with Fulham also in the race for the 23-year-old.

Bryan has made 97 Championship appearances since making his Bristol City debut in 2011, finding the back of the net four times and laying on 14 assists, as he has also been deployed at left wing back and on the left of midfield.

The 23-year-old's impressive performances have seen him become one of the most coveted players in his position in the second tier, which has seen Fulham and Leeds, who finished sixth and seventh last season respectively, become increasingly keen on his signature.

Following a season-long wrangle over his future, which meant his departure became inevitable, Leeds youth academy product Charlie Taylor left Elland Road this summer to join Premier League side Burnley.

Therefore, new Leeds boss Thomas Christensen is understandably in the hunt for a replacement and Bryan fits the bill – but having seen approaches rebuffed, is going to need to increase his offer in order to land his man.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has also seen a left back leave to join a Premier League club, as Scott Malone has departed West London to join newly-promoted Huddersfield Town.

The presence of Ryan Sessegnon at Craven Cottage does not make a new left back as urgent a priority but given that Sessegnon impressed for England Under 19 in their European Championships win this summer as a winger, it would make a move for Bryan worthwhile.

The Verdict:

Bryan ticks a lot of boxes for both clubs – he is experienced in the second tier, he is young, he is English and he is comfortable anywhere along the left flank.

It is understandable that Lee Johnson has continued to rebuff approaches for the 23-year-old but that may become more difficult if Bryan has his head turned by the increased promotion chances at one of the interested clubs, who finished in and around the play-off spots last season.

Both interested parties will hope to conclude the deal before the season starts if possible, as neither side has a perfect situation at left back as the big kick off approaches, which could see Bristol City able to drive the price up.

Great to hear re Sone not going unless he a) forces a move which I can't see happening.. or if he gets a premiership team coming in...it'd be very sad to see him leave but to a premiership team for 10 million having bought him on a free we'd be silly to say no. That being said I would rather he stays.

Westcliff, do you have any idea if the Kevin Mcdonald rumours are true about him leaving for forest? Personally I don't see the logic of selling one of our best players and most consistent players who is key to making us tick to a rival, especially this close to the start of the season. I hope there's no truth in it.

My UK sources are not as good as my French, Belge and Dutch (same guy actually). But I have been told that they enquired, and they were told he wasnt for sale. Since then I have not heard they have bid for him. Was also told that it was believed we value him around the 10 million mark (similar for Aluko) so if they offer that we may let him go. He was pivotal to us last season so I cannot see any logic in letting him go.

But as I say my UK sources are for me not as good as those I mentioned above, so cant say with certainty (as I do with those above) that its whats what so to speak

It's fan bullpoo on Twitter. They've probably made an offer in the same way Reading have for Aluko but I don't see it happening. If it does it certainly wont be before a really strong DM comes in to replace him.

Indeed. It's unsurprising that other clubs should covet players like Aluko and MacDonald. In ordinary circumstances such enquiries should be knocked back without concern; I suspect that it indicates the lack of confidence we supporters have in the club, fuelled by the reporting over SJ's involvement in transfers (hyped or otherwise), that we get so concerned when we hear such rumours.

Joe Bryant to Fulham picking up steam. Not sure whether it'll be closed before Norwich ( he probably would start on bench at best anyway for this game). I've never seen him would he suit the Malone-esque marauding left back or is he more defensive?

He's a very attacking fullback and a signing I would be happy with. Scored some good goals over the years. Would be an upgrade on Malone IMO.
