Craven Cottage or Lords on Sunday

A week or two ago I was considering buying two tickets for Sunday, but recent performances and the attitude of Marco Silva has resulted in me not wanting to waste any more time or money, On Sunday at Lords Middlesex are playing Surrey in one of the biggest games on the cricketing calendar outside of Yorkshire v Lancashire,
Anyway I went on the website and I've managed to get two tickets in the main grandstand, so decent seats,
Now here's the thing,I could only buy tickets for Fulham in the Riverside Stand and they were £105 each,
At Lords the tickets are £38 each !!!
Cricket is excellent value for money whereas a visit to Craven Cottage is very poor value for what you get.

My wife won tickets to something called the T20 Blast on Wednesday, looking forward to returning to the Oval for the first time since my only visit as a cub about 50 years ago!

Everyone is free to spend their time and money however they like.

Personally, I will be at Craven Cottage to watch the team for the last time this season. Even in a disappointing or bad year, I can't think of a better place than Craven Cottage to be when Fulham is playing - how affordable or possible that is, it's a different conversation.

You do on this occasion because after the men finish Middlesex women are playing Leicestershire (my team) women, so I'll hang around after the men's game to let the crowds get away and I'll watch some of the women's game 
So all in all a full day's entertainment in Central London for £38, lovely jubbly.

Cricket is finished in my book. I was a fan when it was on BBC but I couldn't name a team anymore.In all honesty who has the time to sit and watch cricket all day?

I'm an ex-league cricketer and go to a lot of professional games. I will say that County cricket is excellent value, but international cricket is worse value than PL football by several orders of magnitude.

The grounds are certainly a lot nicer though, and it's more family friendly.

When England beat India at Headingley on Day 5 last summer, I had two tickets in the Long Room for the princely sum of £10 each , I'd call that incredible value 😀

I was at Lord's last night so have no real desire to see what will probably be a non contest tomorrow - Middlesex are the worst team in T20 whereas Surrey will probably be fielding a team of internationals. No real desire to go to the Cottage to see a bunch of millionaires going through the motions either.
