With the WC being on our owner's home soil, His team will have a great opportunity to assess the styles of a number of managers.  Why rush? There's no training/ preparation taking place till that's over anyway. The US is also a good place for negotiations to happen in a business environment the Khans know, outside the interference of the press who will be busy praising or decrying England's performances.

Quote from: SimonDaviesEnjoyer on June 06, 2026, 07:05:30 AMI'm not sure how sorted it is if we've approached Slot and been rejected..

Of course that could just be the papers stirring the pot.
As far as I could see, he has just said that he's not interested in a Wedt London job. Doesn't mean we offered it to him.

Sky are reporting that we approached him. Again, no idea how true, but it's being reported that way.

I think he probably said, "oh I'm having a little break" which was then translated as, 'Slot turns down Fulham'

I reckon that's a 42% overround book (i.e "in the bookie's favour...10%-ish is normal)...and that's without a guarantee that ANY of the 'runners' will 'win'.

Never give a sucker an even break, although I doubt that there is much money in this market.

Only managers there I'd take are any of the portuguese managers, Glasner, Slot and Pochettino, but I doubt most of them would be interested to come to Fulham. Bordalas would get us good results, but his football is painfull to watch at times. Rest of them are either inexperienced or not good enough, imo

Volz

I would love to get Solskjær in, I think his usual quick transitions and counter focus could do us well. Also he's a good man manager, like Silva. And we need a forward, his old role. If he could get a say in who we get in and shape our attacking play around that i think we could do really well.

I have not voiced my views on any particular manager, but I don't want Amorim. United got rid of their wingers for his style. Our main investments have been in our wingers...as in Bobb and Kevin.

Amorim would be a ludicrous choice with the players that we have and the only one that would make me lose all hope. I would rather both Lampard and Rosenior even before Amorim

Dino Toppmoller has emerged as a frontrunner in the race to succeed Oliver Glasner as Crystal Palace manager. The German coach is available and appears to be on Steve Parish's radar as he deals with Glasner's departure.

Somerset Fulham

@jolslover

Amorim would be my pick so far out of the names we have been linked with, Did an unreal job at Sporting winning their first league title in 19 years and then winning the league title again. United spell wasn't the best but otherwise we wouldn't be in with a chance of getting him.

Also United he played 523 .. so still playing with two wingers in Mbuemo/Cunha... So Bobb and Kevin would still be central to our future plans

I would be completely against us playing 5 defenders every match...

Conte won the league with a 5ATB at Chelsea. Plenty of managers use the system with great success

pretty sure their fans weren't happy about 5ATB, though you can't be mad at winning a title.
