If the ownership just wants to stay in this league - then it is probably a wise appointment . As I have said on many occasions that's not my prime motivation  as I want to be entertained and actually would like to have a crack at Europe or a trophy. I would like to have hope and dare to dream .
Hopefully this is just a very poor rumour

The more I hear about Amorim the more I like the idea. He wanted to take the United job in the summer so he could plan and get his players in but was told it's now or never and joined in November. Before this his Sporting side was playing really good attacking football.

He plays a system that I think could work with our players and a few signing.

I'm hoping it's someone like him who has something to prove and a fight to show others they are wrong about his time at a big club than someone like McKenna. 9 home loses in a row and Ipswich having picked up THEIR LOWEST EVER points total in the top flight. McKenna's 10.5% win rate is among the LOWEST RECORDED BY ANY MANAGER in Premier League history and Parker has been in that league!

I have to admit I have reservations about him being a manager in premier league! He made more problems for himself at Utd than he ever should with that rigid system. His lack of flexibility was damning I thought considering how easy Carrick turned it around there. I look at him as talking a good game as opposed to delivering on the pitch. How a so called football manager can't see Mainoo is a very talented player and yet flooded the midfield with defenders?
Safe to say personally I think same would happen to him at Fulham and we would all be concerned come late September.

Totally agree, the more I hear about Amorim the less I like the idea. Had pundits and Man Utd fans alike scratching their heads with his stubbornness and line ups and bland football. As you say Carrick turned it around immediately by playing the right players in the right formation

Before Utd his managerial stats were very impressive. Maybe he will suit us better.

He does seem to be getting mentions at the moment. Being Portuguese is an advantage but should not predominate.

I wonder if Marco has Recommended him to the Fulham hierarchy

IF some reports are to be believed,  he was Benfica's first choice before Marco but wants to remain on PL.

I simply do not believe that Dyche would ever happen unless we were bottom three or four at Christmas time.

I don't know if the Khans have developed a style as such over the years, but whatever it is they have developed, Dyche is the anithesis of it.

McKenna has just massively shortened to 4/6, everyone else apart from Fat Frank has gone out.

Maybe someone knows something.

It was reported we would need to pay £8mil in compensation to Ipswich for McKenna. That seems a hell of a lot and quite a risk when there are managers out there without a club, or without one after the WC.

I think McKenna is decent and, as others have said, with our better squad could do a v good job for us.

I just worry that it would be a costly and pretty unambitious appointment.

Time will tell.

Assuming Rosenior is now ruled out following the shambles at Chelsea (but when is it anything else there) then IMO Hugo Oliveira should be considered. He left Fulham under 2 years ago to take a managers job in Portugal. He is a highly experienced coach and presumably knows many of the players and how they play.

If this the shortlist - then it is massively disappointing and shocking that the club think this is the best we can do!

Klinsmann has only spent around 15 months as a manager in the last 10 years (most of that as South Korea coach).

Amorim has the worst record of any Man Utd manager in recent times - something like a 32% win rate.

I simply cannot believe we are even speaking to Dyche.

Klinsmann is just a name with no serious pedigree as a manager and probably only got the appointments because of who he is. Amorim I can understand us being linked to but the other two are just plain lazy on Fulham's part if indeed there is any truth in the rumours.

They just said on Talksport (I know) football news latest that McKenna is Likely to be leaving Ipswich, that with the sudden shortening of odds does look like things are moving in that direction, TBH seeing the rather limited realistic choices it could be for the best I for  one certainly prefer McKenna than Dyche.

The same Kieran McKenna who spent 100mil at Ipswich and got 22 points in the PL 2 seasons ago.

Not convinced and hoped we could do better. Expect to see us pay way over the odds for Liam delap if so.

There is nothing at all that excite me about these names whatsoever.
Klinsmann would be exceptionally uninspiring.
Amorin would make me outright angry.
Dyche would make me really, really sad

At this point I am actually hoping for McKenna.

But whatever. I will give all of the above a chance to prove me wrong until proven otherwise.
I do dread the extreme squad shakeup and full year of adapting to a new style of play if Amorin truly comes in, please God I hope there is no truth to him being considered at all.

For whatever reason the Khan's seem determined to spend a fairly crazy amount of money (for managers) on our next manager, they couldn't get Marco in at 8/10 million a year so they have found someone with a release clause that matches that
