A bit like Areola and Glasner

Not really sure I'm appreciating these comparisons. Both have much better CV's than Arbeloa. Unless I'm missing something.

You can't get a better feat on a CV in football than manager of Real Madrid, much better than being manager of Rayo (Iraola) which was definitely a gamble.

Sure, if almost all context is ignored, I would agree with you. Hopefully TK does more than 2 minutes of research, so that any approach is not based solely on such an assessment.

First Manager in the Yellow Pages is that how the Khans work.

I Ronic

I thought Claudio Ranieri was a safe pair of hands to put in charge but his Win percentage for us,?, 5pà of just under 18% was woeful. Marco's career in England was three clubs in under three years but look how that turned out.
While Arbeloa's career and experience, good and bad as a player and a manager would I think be an asset.

Arbeloa will bring in lots of young Spanish talent for us, finally something exciting to watch too

It's been Marco who hasn't wanted/played young players.

SerbianLad

It would be a very risky appointment. It has a potential of going either way.

Time the club took some risk, its been very vanilla under Silva

St. Andrews White

Makes me very nervous this appointment. So little experience (no, being manager of Real Madrid for 5 mediocre months doesn't make him qualified).

Only positive I see is that hopefully he'll establish a proper pathway for the academy. But would much rather Poch!
The Intertoto might not exist anymore, but that doesn't matter. We'll still win it again.

Aaron A Aardvark it is then!

Fulham Tup North

::scarf:: TBF, I believe he will be able to attract some excellent, exciting players....
And if his team can play with some of the flair he showed when he played, Fulham will be an attractive team to watch...
Yes it's a risk... but I fancy a small one...

He's better than Magath or Parker!

I wonder how many times this has happened before

ffcthereligion

Think this could be a disastrous appointment and it's very odd to see the loudest anti silva voices endorsing it

As long as he has some managerial experience.

I don't want to tempt fate but the last time the Khans appointed someone with no managerial experience, his name was René Meulensteen...

Gulp ! 😳

C Block

I'm willing to bet he can spend £65 million in the Spanish market a lot better than Silva did in the English market with Andersen and Smith-Rowe 😉
