I seem to remember we had a thread at the beginning of the season where we gave our forecast for our final league position and the number of points we'd get.  It might be interesting to dig it out, blow the cobwebs off it and see who got the closest?
Finn and Corked Hat, you are forever part of the family.

I think I picked 11th, but I can't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday, so ... .

Although I hadn't yet found this fine forum, I had said to my mates 11th. The teams around us had strengthen in the summer and we hadn't really due to Hughes being signed so late. I was always hopefull of a top 10 though, but with the teams above/around strengthening I couldn't see it at the start of the season, so I think it can be said that I am very happy with how the season panned out!

As above can't remember but suspect I said lower half. Don't know.

I was accurate down to the position and points. I won myself a Ford Fiesta and a trip to Hayling Island. It was then that I discovered all was not what it should be.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

You did very well! I didn't do a thing.

I had however stored my prognosis on a file on my computer. I swear I didn't copy-paste the actual standings, nor did I delete the actual points the teams gathered! I swear!

I had us for 9th but who knew Villa was going to lose their manager and be so inconsistent all year.

I guess I should be happy with our 8th place, and I am, but I expected and thought we could have finished with more points given the strength of our squad. I know....I know....BZ was injured.

Guy goes into the doctor's.
"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

Rupert

I see that I was quite confident that Birmingham would finish mid-table :046: and that we would fail to get anything out of Stoke .
Maybe I need to change a few minor details on my letter asking the BBC for a job as a pundit.

Mr Rupert,
I think you have delivered a very strong application as a pundit. I wouldn't change a thing.

I said we'd finish 9th with Villa the only other team finishing ahead of us.

I still said we'd have a top 10 finish after the boxing day game.

Was the boxing day game the Westham disgrace?  Unfortunately that was when i thought Hughes had to go or we was down, but i was defending him bigtime before that game. You must hve been mad to predicict  top ten finish then.

Fulham for life!

I can't remember position but I am confident I said 50 points.
