Bad call by the ref to award a pen there - come on! you want him to cut his arm off? Else exciting game to watch, very nice comeback and we could have got away with a win but im happy with the draw.

no way was the berb as good as ruiz today. came close but ruiz is starting to boss midfields. was involved in everything, was getting back and tackling plus got some heading in too.

gave baird 5 because he always seemed to pass backwards and made quite a few wayward passes. Sidwell was better today!

Berbatov got 2 goals and a assist. In general play Ruiz was better, if he'd have grabbed a goal to go with his assists then he wouldve got 9/10 but you've got to finish the chances being given

Riether 7: good all round performance overall.
Hughes: 5. Useless. Can't mark or jump.
Hangeland: 6. Not his usual high standard.
Riise: 7: Good all round game
Baird:5. Faded, didn't give protection we needed really.
Sidwell:7.5. All action performance from the special one Iniesta. Very impressive, lucky not to be sent off however.

Sidwell was great today he shut down Cazorla and Arteta, never gave them time to settle, ruled the midfield and was always pressing, exactly what we were missing last week. He had the whole of the Northbank on his case, I was surrounded by them (borrowed colleagues season ticket} mouthing off about every tackle he made and baying for him to be sent off for what I thought was a soft freekick but in the end they were saying thats what they are missing in their midfield.

Also thought Hangeland had one of his better games, really went for a near post header with Mertesacker and gut a good crack on his head but block the knock on. Ruis was great today he was much better and more influential than Cazorla, few more performance like that the bids will be coming in fast in January but we still have 2.5 years of his contract so should keep him.

Thought the attacking 4 (Berba, Ruiz, Dejagah and kaca) were class today.

A big problem I had/have with Baird is he tries too many flicks and 1st time balls without looking and very often it puts us in dangerous situations.He didn't just do it today he does it every game (Jelavic 45th min last week)

agree with this. It may be that Jol is asking more of Baird than he can provide at the moment, especially the part with him making bad passes in dangerous situations.
