Beckham giving all his salary to charity. Nice gesture.

Reports from Italy suggest Fulham's bid for Maarten Stekelenburg is doomed for failure as Roma were unable to find a replacement.

Give them Schwarzer for Gods sake

"Sky Italia are now reporting that Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has in fact boarded a flight to London thinking that he's on his way for talks with Fulham. He's apparently expected to land at London Heathrow at 1910. Unbeknownst to Stekelenburg, 35,000ft below, Roma have stopped the deal. Pity the man who has to break it to him at arrivals."

The Italian deadline was at 18.00 GMT

It would appear that the transfer window in Italy closed at 6.

Okay, can someone tell me why Jack Butland is going to Stoke? His reason for not going to Chelsea was a likely lack of first team football. WHAT ABOUT ASMIR BEGOVIC? Sound logic, Mr Butland. Not bitter, just confused.

By the way, Begovic's English is fantastic.

I think they can still sell but not purchase.

Can someone tell me whether Samba is actually worth £12.5m?

We are hearing Fulham are considering a move for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis as they look to bolster their attacking options before the 11pm deadline.

Italian clubs can still sell, but they can't purchase as Justovertheriver said.

depends if you think signing a 28 year old above average cb for 12.5 mil on 100kp/w with no sell on value is good business?

It actually annoys me the way they have spent their money, they could of built a proper side but even if they stay in the premier league in 2/3 years time they'll have to buy a new side.

QPR have moved their training ground to Roehampton at the Richardson Evans complex. They say they needed 50 more pitches so all their players could  take part.

For the fact that it means greedy 'Arry Redknob won't be trying to get Hangers or Hughes from us...yes it's worth it...well for us.
To be fair I think their defence has been appalling. He is a big solid unit and I think they needed a bit of steel back there

I think they need him, if he's the difference that will keep them up then it's probably worth it but I just hate the way they've gone about their business.

Samba is a class centre back. But one guy cant do it alone. Remy and Samba added to the current dross? Im not too sure that theyll stay up myself. 4 hours left lets see!

Just saw this on the bbc:
Ed in London, via text: "Took a detour past Motspur Park on my way home from work and got lucky! Just seen Tomas Rincon get out of a cab: Played under Jol at Hamburg, good versatile player, ideal replacement for Baird!"

Shock, horror, the pooper scoopers have actually sold somebody?! Well they've loaned Faurlin to Parma :-)
