If you don't have twitter this has been floating around for a while today

but i waited till a very credible source mentioned it :

Graeme Bailey ( Sky Sports ) - Leeds have received a bid for Ross McCormack - the first of the summer. Fulham are the bidders. Other clubs are set to bid over the weekend.

This will be due to the fact he wanted to leave last window but stayed because Brian Mcdermot got reinstated . Now BM has been sacked it was inevitable he was going to leave.

Very happy if we pull this off

KP_FFC

please be true, please be true, please be true

KP_FFC

apparently we have also bid 1m for lee wallace from rangers

hopefully it's true, then we finally have a good LB

Mhbruce

When you se it on sky sports you can't help but get excited

filham

Good to know that we are trying to rebuild , lets hope that for once we can home in on our targets and have them in place and ready/fit for the start of the season .

Craven Mad

Definitely got goals in him, but I have reservations. He hasn't shown enough consistency over the years, he's 27/28, and he has an appalling ego.

Still, if we are in for him, can't fault our ambition; top goalscorer in the league last year, an' all...

Maybe we could tempt Byram to come with him.

MrProphet

Mmm rather we went for Rhodes

Age and temperment a question with him but he does.score goals in.a woeful Leeds side

SimpleTactics

If anyone wants a laugh just search McCormack on twitter and enjoy seeing the Leeds fans reactions.

Sure, or maybe Diego Costa, but presumably there's a finite amount of money available.

Yet another sarcastic reply

Any why would you assume that he would cost a load more? The venkys are skint he is a lot younger and would be better value for money rather then someone who we would probably need to replace when we go back up hence more money in the long run

Syd Cupp

This IMO would be a good signing.
Also pretty good with free kicks which is something we've lacked in recent seasons.
Hopefully we can sign him and I won't have to keep ducking at the back of the Hammersmith end when we get a free kick.

Are you comparing Rhodes with Diego Costa?

It will also be the sign of intent that could be the catalyst to better quality players looking to jump on the Fulham promotion bandwagon.

Silly comparison, and the sentiment is irrelevant regardless.

Even the wildest estimates for Rhodes are around £15m, Costa would be more than twice that (ignoring the wages, too).

Khan has intimated a willingness to spend. If both Rhodes and Ross are available, Rhodes is the one to go for, even at a higher price. Across many seasons he has proven an ability to score, he's younger, better attitude, and more likely to step-up to the next level (assuming we'll get back at some point).

bucksfulham

Sky Bet have us as 4:6 favourites to sign McCormack

what are you basing your comments of he is more likely to step up on?
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

He's only 24 and has 52 goals in 87 championship games ( I believe)  and has alot more about him then mccormack whenever I've seen him.

Mccormack has been doing it a lot longer but no one has taken a punt on him at a higher level that says it all for me.

Denver Fulham

Fluke season, and we'll be the suckers that pay Leeds off for him. Paying 5m for a 28yo Scottish striker who's not Prem caliber is terrible.

Riversider

Horses for courses,
Horses for courses,
Horses for courses,
It's not rocket science to get out of The Championship, it's all about obtaining tried and tested players at this level, and having the ability of scoring more goals thane anybody else,
When QPHahahaha got relegated what did they do ? They signed a proven goal scorer in Charlie Austin,
I think its vital that we sign either Jordan Rhodes, Ross McCormack or Troy Deeney we've got some very talented young wide players but we must sign a proven goal scorer.

Pluto

Amazing signing. Would rather have him than anyone else in the Championship, including Rhodes. So happy if we pull this off!
