"It will always be our policy to have players who are committed to the Club and have a desire to work for the common goal."

Ouch!  Strange to include that in a departure press release.

Well thats pretty damning. If he doesnt want to be here then good riddance to be honest. We're not playing a diamond anyway, and his crossing for the majority of the time was poor.

Could never understand why he never seemed to be able to play 90 minutes. Plus... moving to Qatar says it all really.

fulhamben

shame, he was one of our better players
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

A very good player on his day.  A team player - no.
A hard working player - not really.  A player who could
give 90 minutes no.  Had some good games but more
often average most times.

We are building a 'team' and I don't think Dejagah would
have fitted in.   I am not sorry to see him or any others
that have gone depart.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Amen!

Worded to perfection. I think he would of been the new berbatov had he stayed and if im honest a little over rated on here. Very good at what he did, but awful at so much else and the good didnt out weigh the bad for me. I was more disappointed with richardson going

He was one of our better players in the poorest team we've had for what? 15 years.

Of all the departures, the only one I remotely wanted us to keep was Sidwell.

Never ever bloody anything ever.

RidgeRider

Why do we slate players when they leave? I can't think of a single player that has left that hasn't been slated by some on here when they have left. Maybe I am thick but I just don't understand the point of it all.

Two Ton Ted

But on the other hand, why should we give them any deference?

This isn't a slight against Dejagah, but the players were all incredibly well paid in the last 2-3 seasons and have been underachieving or certainly not doing the job they were paid to do.

They are generally all off at the sniff of a signing on fee or a increase in wages, so goodbye.
Never ever bloody anything ever.

This is a shame but hardly a surprise.

Good player who had a reasonable World Cup so you can't blame him for not wanting to hang around in the Championship.

That was the best kept secret since I don't know when

Mitroglou might never be the same player again. Ranieri, who recently took the reigns of the Greek NT immediately identified he is unfit and told him to find a club and get fit. There seems something is still wrong, either injury or psychology.

Nope. Don't understand this one.
Whilst I accept that Mitroglou may well never be the same player again, I don't see where Ranieri comes into the equation in any meaningful way. He has been manager of Greece for only a few days, so can surely have little additional knowledge about Mitroglou's physical well-being. Everyone who watched the WC knows he is not fit (and looks terrible as a player). And he already has a club.

The strange thing for me is why go to Qatar for football reasons. Surely the championship is still a bigger league then theirs? Must be the money. Probably didn't want to take his relegation wage cut.

AlexH

Only impressed in fits and bursts - good to bank the money on a player that would struggle fitness wise over a 46 game season.

Kind of liking Felix's no-holds barred approach.

I will go with this.
Although I just don't think he was that good!!
He did score a few decent goals towards the end of last season (a couple from dodgy keeping) but overall his play wasn't that great.
In with the new (as u said)
