At least the Twitter feed makes that period of the year entertaining.... A bit like a soap opera. Whether you believe what you read or not is another matter.

As supporters we will always be in the dark regarding transfer dealings until the last moment anyway.

CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

Twitter Press Rumour - Hull have offered 8 million for Ross.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

If we are chasing Reem and the chap from Brentford, I'm pretty confident that the Dunk deal has fallen through.
I look at it as if we are chasing them maybe one is a fall back option in case Dunk doesn't come. AT this stage none of us know who we are after and who we are not as it is all press and social media rumours

Half the fun of these transfer windows is the speculation I haven't got a scooby how it will end up, a  welcome surprise maybe , bitter disappointed or just plain old mediocre.

Brentford have signed Maxime Colin from Anderlecht, predominantly a right back but can play centre back too

It's to replace the right back they sold to Hull apparently

To all those who say don't moan at the lack of defensive reinforcements until the window closes, how are you going to feel if we finish 7th, one point off the play-offs? Spending earlier could have made all the difference.

I'm gonna take into account all the other times we dropped points too.

fair enough, makes them less likely to sell Tarkowski though

Didn't know they had sold a right back, but they have another couple of those too, so I would not give up yet on Tarkowski. Remain upbeat we have done well so far this summer, yes we need a CB or 2 but have faith in those doing the job its as I say gone well so far. Not everyone is available prior to the season starting

I'm always sceptical about the "set to make a bid" phrase. If a club is "set" to make the bid, why haven't they made it? How long does it take to send a fax/email/however they do it these days? IMO, it's the media's way of having an out if the selling club turns round and says they've received no bids, as they can say they were "set" to make it, rather than actually made it.

This is a great interview by the way. Well worth the 4 minutes. Very honest and open.
