Gotta say that it sure sounds like Martin now sees his long term future with us. That "sign him permanently" comes across as an appeal to the club to put up the remaining 6.5 million.

I would hope that Martin and the club find an appropriate way for the player to apologize to the supporters as it seems he has to the team and club. I think that it would behoove the entire team and would help settle the boo birds who will surely be out early on.

Ben, forgive me if this is too forward but, have you said what your relation was to Rigg? And, no worries if you'd rather not.

None of us know what's really going on( except probably Ben with what his mate Rigg has told him)
He may well of had personal problems.
Fair play to Slav, handled it very well.

If he plays tomorrow with that white shirt on, then he will get my support as I don't really know the real reasons, as for helping Derby , if he scores an own goal for us at Derby when we play up there, I might believe it, until then I don't .

Martin has now well and truly become our new Zamora.  If he scores tomorrow will he cup his ears ?

Delboy

Steve McClaren started all this, whispering in Chris Martins ear saying he wanted him back. Now, maybe Martin sees McClaren for what he is, a stirrer. He also sees that now Fulham won't play ball Derby have dropped their interest in him and replaced him with Nugent. I think Martin has been a bit naive in all this, and hopefully, probably feels a bit foolish. Might work in our favour for once.

...and they all lived happily ever after.
except the Fulham fans, who will now have a striker on the pitch who's motives could be to help his team derby reach the playoffs

Ben, with respect, even by your standards thats a "grassy knoll" too far
Why, we now he is unprofessional and wants to go back to Derby. How could you ever trust him again after what he has done. One can only presume that Khan won't release money to replace him as no other club in the world would ever consider playing him after what he did
Derby may want him so we had best get him back there before thy realise the error of their ways.

Fulham Tup North

What happens if he misses a PEN?
How would that go down!

OK you clever lot.

When did whatever happened, happen ?  A link would also be helpful.

Maybe I'm just getting senile (69th birthday today).

NogoodBoyo

There is a better than even chance that this could work out well for us.
Martin will have seen the error of his ways.
He is unlikely to have a home back at Derby until the end of the season.  If he doesn't play well and score goals for us, Derby's interest would likely wane - as would ours.
He has a chance to get into the play-offs and even the Prem with Fulham.
In Slavisa he has a manager who is backing him to the hilt at some cost to his professional reputation if it all goes pear.  For all these reasons, he is likely to be very committed to scoring goals and working his socks off for Slavisa and Fulham.

Happy birthday.
Rigg left by mutual consent a couple of weeks ago - just after he had leaked info to Ben that Martin was going back to Derby (100%!) - just a coincidence:-)
Go back through the old posts to find the info.  Quicker that somebody else having to do so really.
