Report: Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Norwich City enquire about Edwin Gyasi - available at initial £600,000
Aiden Cusick @aidencusick55 minutes ago

Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Norwich City are the latest English clubs to be linked with a move for the Ghanaian international.

Brighton manager Chris Hughton gestures from the sideline during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion at St. James Park on December 30, 2017 in...

Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Norwich City have enquired about Aalesund winger Edwin Gyasi, according to the Daily Mail [live blog entry 16:49].

Championship trio Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday are said to have already discussed signing Gyasi.

Chris Coleman, manager of Sunderland during The Emirates FA Cup Third Round match between Middlesbrough and Sunderland at the Riverside Stadium on January 6, 2018 in Middlesbrough, England.

However, it is claimed that Sunderland wanted the Ghanaian on loan, while Aalesund favour a permanent deal.

The report adds the Norwegian club are willing to accept £600,000 up front for Gyasi, who is out of contract at the end of 2018, with add-ons which could take their potential earnings to more than £1 million.

That asking price is said to have 'alerted others' to the possibility of signing the 26-year-old, and Brighton, Fulham and Norwich appear to have seized the initiative - making contact with Aalesund.

Though only capped twice by Ghana, Gyasi, who scored or created 10 goals in 27 league games last season, would not require a work permit to move to English football, having been born and raised in the Netherlands.

Fulham WILL buy expensive player. Debate as to how good he is. We will get excited. He will be failure and add to the list of expensive buys that never made it here.  094.gif
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

If we are to bid for Nelson Oliveira then have a little peek on BBC1. He is playing quite well against CFC.

filham

Watching Chelsea v Norwich and Oliviera having a good game but suspect Norwich will be asking for more than he is worth in transfer money.

Certainly justifying a good price tag.  Lots of good runs, along with a few poor ones!
Looks fit and eager. Does he see this as a 'Shop Window' game tonight??

Leeds United and Fulham 6/1 to sign Ipswich Town's David McGoldrick, behind linked pair

Both Leeds United and Fulham are believed to be in the market for strikers this month.

Leeds United and Fulham are in the running to sign David McGoldrick, after bookmakers Bet Victor opened a market on the Ipswich Town striker's next club on Wednesday.

The pair are 6/1 to secure McGoldrick's signature before 3rd February, behind Cardiff City [2/1] and Birmingham City [4/1], who were recently linked with moves for the 30-year-old [the Sun].

Both Leeds and Fulham are believed to be in the market for strikers this month, while McGoldrick, who has scored eight goals in 21 outings this season, is out of contract in June.

Despite his impressive haul, however, McGoldrick has only started two of Ipswich's last six league games since his return from injury, and the Tractor Boys may be open to cashing in with Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn having equalled and bettered, respectively, the Irishman's goal tally this season.

Martyn Waghorn of Ipswich Town during the Sky Bet Championship match between Ipswich Town and Leeds United at Portman Road on January 13, 2018 in Ipswich, England.

McGoldrick, who scored when Ipswich were beaten 3-2 by Leeds last September, has had permanent spells at Notts County, Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Town.

Despite his six Irish caps, the versatile striker hails from Nottingham, and may favour a move closer to home, which could put Leeds or Birmingham in the driving seat.

Fulham interested in Rodwell

The Cottagers are believed to be in the running to sign Jack Rodwell on loan for the remainder of the season. The 26-year-old midfielder has only made 3 appearances this season and is not in Chris Coleman's first-team plans.

Slavisa Jokanovic is a big admirer of the former Manchester City player's talent and believes that he can be used as Kevin McDonand's backup in central midfield and also as a ball-playing centre back next to either Tim Ream or Tomas Kalas. Rodwell is keen for more playing time and a return to defense, the position in which he played until his breakthrough at Everton.

(Sorry guys; a bit bored and as there are no actual rumours, I thought to create one! I promise not to do it again - good night!)

Jerome great value at 1.5m
Oliveira of Norwich would be another Potuguese disaster. Not rated by either Notts Forest or Norwich fans. Surely FFC wouldn't follow up Fonte with him ??
Gayle would be a very positive statement and would get us goals. Proven and British -good combo.
Would welcome some young current champ players or lower league players who could make the step up. They are definitely there, we just don't have the scouting or desire to make these things happen.
Would also like some experience within the ranks.

Oliveira is rated by Norwich fans for his ability - it's his attitude that they take issue with. His celebration against us on the opening day is just one of a few instances this season where he has show poor attitude. His gripe appears to have been that he wasn't starting every week but one would assume he'll be starting more now they've left Jerome go.

Devastating and depressing news if true.

Blimey, mate. I'd fear for your health and sanity if you ever received any really bad news - like your cat caught fire or your garden shed got run over by a bus or we'd resigned Chris Martin.

If you really want to feel depressed, read the economic forecasters in the 'Shahid Khan' thread....On second thoughts, don't. I started to and it's taken two cups of strong espresso to unfreeze my brain. :dft012:
