Quite like that Marriott, penalty box poacher, think he would progress further with better service from our players.

He was on loan at Woking a few years back and was clearly far too good for the league even at such a young age.

A proper poacher with an eye for goal but surprisingly good strength for someone with such a slight build.

Ipswich really shouldn't have release him tbh; Luton picked up a bargain when he signed for them and he's been a key player for every team he's played in ever since.

Would certainly sign him as a backup for a reasonable fee.

Do you think he is any better than Cauley Woodrow??

Put it this way would Cauley have got 27 goals in 44 appearances for Peterborough last season,I very much doubt it.

Cauley wouln't even have got 44 appearances

Sorry can't get carried away by someone scoring in League 1

Not even Jamie Vardy at Fleetwood Town.

Could be another Charlie Austin!

Ayew started almost every game last season. Not sure where you're getting bench warmer from.

Edit: Maybe you're thinking of André Ayew.

I'd take him at a heartbeat

Not looked at this thread for a week. So pleased as it still contains the same amount of brown stuff from the legion of bedroom journos. Will be back next week.

I don't get people not wanting ayew. Got 11 goals in 44 games last season and can play rw I'd be very happy with him.

RP24

Would also love Diop and chambers that we've been linked with but doubt either will come off. Both would be near £20m if the rumours are to be believed

I'm still expecting us to spend in the region of 50-60m and nit a lot more than that. Nowhere near the £90-100m Statto wants us to spend.

The same as little 'ol Huddersfield then, who charge £100 for STs and got 37 points last season. How very "ambitious"
If you want to look at it like that then yes, but as you have pointed out thats how much all three promoted teams spent. If we spend more then great, but just my gut feel of where we might be.
Just the views of a long term fan

Arsenal have just signed another cb, this time from Dortmund. This makes 2 cbs hey have signed so maybe there is legs in the chambers rumours

Jordan Ayew?!? Noooo...

Previous clubs:
Swansea
Aston Villa
Sochaux (on loan from Marseille)

All three teams got relegated during his stay...  1500.gif

Previous clubs mean nothing in that sense. Look at felix 'never relegated' magath! We all know how that turned out. He's one player so can't be blamed for the teams being relegated. Many Swansea fans think he was brilliant for them last season and I think he could do a job for us on the rw

£10m for a RW who scored 11 goals in the Prem is not bad business.

He played most games up front for Swansea and scored 7 in 36 Prem games. He's a decent player but for £10m+ we should be getting more than that.

Forest going for it signing Benfica midfielder for 13 million...
Nobody is going to be cheap in this crazy transfer world.

Captain Fulhamerica

Wouldn't mind Ayew as long as we sign more of a target striker as well. Need someone who can hold the ball up the way Mitro did, even if it isn't Mitro.
