I'm in disbelief at what I've just read on the BBC transfer update page:

Tim Long: "Manchester United should recall Fosu Mensah to cover in midfield. Never got a chance in his best position, still only 21, excelled in academy, adds energy & bite, would benefit from Solskjaer touch, & will not get any mins at Fulham under Ranieri. No brainer."

No brainer? Tim ... I don't know where to start with this text.

At least we know why hes crap, we've played him out of position ar RB

And noone knew Chambers would be a good CDM...until Scott Parker threw him there.

I've lost my faith in TFM though.    He had the physical tools to own the RB spot...but he was too inconsistent.

He's to Ngadeu-Ngadjui  hopefully signing.   I'd immediately slot him ahead of both Odoi and Ream...and try to build a partnership between him and MLM in a back 4.

Why do you keep repeating the stuff about Parker and Chambers? Wasn't it well known even before he joined that he could play in midfield? And besides that it has never been in any way confirmed that Parker was behind the idea at Fulham.

I'm not pulling it out of my ass dude, even if you think I am.   Let it go.  It's not a big deal.

Oh look...google is my friend.

Google.. clearly not your friend.

Funny that this is the same article that in no way at all confirms that it was Parkers idea in the first place. For a second there I thought that something new had come to light. But agree not a big deal, but you should probably reread it when you have time.

And the added article also did not even indicate in any way that it was Parkers idea. Reading is your friend.

QuoteChambers has come a long way from that performance in South Wales in October, but Ranieri has revealed how it was Parker, the former Tottenham Hotspur man, who convinced him that the Arsenal loanee was able to play in midfield.

Ok...so Ranieri put him there...after being convinced by Scott Parker that he could do it.

Yes, I know. I read the quote a long time ago. Two different things. Anyway, this has already been discussed in length before. Now lets hope we get another player in.

Is that it then?
We wait all window to strengthen our defence and we get a guy who was Sh++e at West Spam.😨

According to you or west ham fans? In any case, a player like Salah was bad his first stint in the PL, so doesn't have to mean much at all.

Louis Saha was awful at Newcastle before he came to Fulham!
Bit harsh....he only played 11 games there on loan!!
Not really a fair period to judge him.
He was excellent at FFC....

FULHAM'S SABALY MOVE OFF

With four hours of the transfer window remaining, Fulham met Bordeaux's £12million release clause for right-back Youssouf Sabaly, allowing the player to move to Craven Cottage.

However, Sky Sports News has learnt that despite a successful medical and repeated efforts by Fulham over four hours to make contact, Bordeaux failed to respond to any emails or phone calls from Fulham.

We understand no deal sheet has been lodged with the Premier League and as such any potential deal for Sabaly is off.

Release clauses are contractual agreements stating that if a club receives an offer of a certain amount, they have to let the player go.

The player may well have a claim for breach of contract with his club Bordeaux.  However, Fulham's efforts to sign a right-back in this window are at an end.

I don't understand how a club can activate a release clause and the opposing club just don't answer the call and go on shut down. Surely there's something that stops clubs doing this? Anyway, needless to say, I think Khan and Co. need a dressing down after this window. That's an absolute failure in my book. Happy to say, I don't think we've improved our chances of survival, at all, to be honest. If I'm Claudio, I'd walk and save my reputation if I was told we'd bring in players.
