@jolslover

I think Mbenza is more of a winger than striker, he is another one who was decent for Huddersfield in the prem. Very pacey ... but went down and refused to play for them so questions could be asked about his attitude ... a bit worse than Kongolo but no doubt would be available for cheap as they look to offload (they paid 11m for him)

Also put an instagram up when we signed Kongolo with the caption 'finally' and 'desire them' - doubt that endeared him to Huddersfield fans

Not sure about Mbenza. Good experience, but very low goal scoring record overall.

All this talk of Left backs and Centre backs. But where is the most needed improvement of all? A right back?!

Reed can play there if required and he may be the best RB in our books 🤔

Harrison Reed is a midfielder. I'm not aware if he's ever played right back. If he has fair enough but if not we'd be better recruiting a specialist right back with potential for the Prem. No more square pegs in round holes please. It's not the way forward IMO.

Sure about that ???

Udders fan view of Mbenza🤪

Either the scouting team that brought him in have new jobs playing on FIFA at Fulham or Bournemouth. I wouldn't mind but they don't even have the excuse of not seeing him play live - surely they popped into the JS at some point when he played - well stood offside on the grass - and realised how he is one of the worst footballers and biggest waste of money ever to pull on a Town shirt!

Kongolo having a medical this morning...

How credible is this may I ask?

same source that told me Knockaert was signing the week before he did and Cav from wolves.

Mbenza, this is desperation talk, he would just be another flop, and we have had our fair share. I would rather play one of our Academy players.

According to French reports, Fulham are in talks with Huddersfield  for striker. Bournemouth are also interested in signing the player.

If we're looking at a Huddersfid striker, i'd of prefer Mounie. Still think in the right team he'd score goals.

I don't believe in having slow FBs.  Especially slow/small fullbacks.    I would play Sess there over him.

Just adding a bit more to this - another glowing reference from a Huddersfield fan:

"This can't be right. Is Eddie Howe wanting to lose his job and do Fulham really want to get promoted? How on earth can you be interested in signing a player who hasn't kicked a ball in months? And one of the worst ever to pull on a blue and white shirt and with an even worse attitude. I just don't believe we could be this lucky. Offloading Kongolo and Diakhaby is one thing but this would far, far, eclipse either of those departures."

Hope not, he's only scored 14 goals in 2 1/2 seasons for HT, when seen him play not impressed at all.

I hope Tony Khan only buys players with good statistics, I wouldn't be considering paying more than £2-5m for centre forwards that like Mounie have got 14 goals in 5 half seasons or like Mbenza with 1 goal in 3 half seasons. And, from what i know they want a lot more than £5m.

Be nice for us to be linked with someone who we've heard of,even if we don't sign him, give us something to talk about...Where's that Wooooosh signing.😜

It's a buyers market, and if the owners sons offers more than the £2.5m you suggest, then it's another example of misjudging market value and wasting his fathers hard earned income.

So sky are saying we have had a loan offer for Ben Gibson rejected bu burnley. He's a left sided center back. That would have been him ream, mawson and Kongolo all vying for that one spot. Seems like a little over kill to me

Maybe were going to play them all and shore up the defence, cut out the midfield and have Mitro up front on his own.😵

It would also mean that we'd have to leave one of the loanees out of every match day squad. If the rumour is true, I'd guess it happened before Kongolo was signed.
