Facts Not Fiction

Presuming that Reed and Mitro are injured. Kamara and Kebano doubts. I'd go with

Rodak

Christie Hector Ream Odoi

Onomah Arter Cairney

Knockaert Cavaleiro Reid

Norman, Mawson, Bryan, McDonald, Johansen, de la Torre, Stansfield

Simply91

Rodak

Christie, Hector, Ream, Odoi

Arter (if fully match fit, if not then StefJo), Kmac, Cairney,

Knockaert, Bobby, Cav

Assuming Mitro, AK and Reed aren't available.

twang

Rodak
Odoi - Hector - Ream - Bryan
Johansen - Arter
Knockaert - Cairney - Cavaleiro
Kamara*

Bench: Bettinelli/Norman, Christie, Mawson, McDonald, Onomah, Reid & Stansfield

* If Kamara's out then Reid starts up front and Kebano/de la Torre/O'Riley takes his place on the bench.

With Mitro injured, we need to be a little more attacking so FBs are Christie and Bryan.
With Mitro injured, some more aerial strength is required so Mawson and KMac are in.
With Mitro injured, I think we need to try Cav now, Kamara next and Stansfield against ManCity.

                      Rodak
Christie    Hector   Mawson  Bryan
                      KMac
              Onamah   Cairney
Knockaert         Cav              Reid

Subs: Betts/Archer, Odoi, Ream, Arter, Stefjo, Kamara, Stansfield
Anticipated Subs: Arter for KMac (55 min) and Kamara for Knockaert (66 min)

even if mitro is fit we need to be a little more attacking. We aren't going to win matches with just one shot on target like we did against hull every week. It's unbelievable just how bad our attack has been of late considering the attacking players we have.
CHRIS MARTIN IS SO BAD,  WE NOW PRAISE HIM FOR MAKING A RUN.

I think given it's Boro and their aerial ability and tactics, I'd have Odoi over Bryan at LB. Bryan has been caught at the far post way too often and is not great in the air.

I almost think we'll naturally be more attacking and certainly more mobile without Mitro. If you think that all of the suggestions thus far (if Kamara is out) are variations of:

Knockaert  Reid Cav

Knockaert Cav Reid

And that is fine as they could interchange all game. Reid pulling wide, Cav going central and vice versa. Could be a nightmare for defences at this level to track.

Sting of the North

Assuming Mitro, Reed, Sessegnon and Kamara are not fit, and Betts on his way out, with Kebano either not fit or on his way out, I'd go for the following:

Rodak

Odoi, Hector, Mawson, Bryan

Kmac, Johansen, Cairney

Knockeart, Reid, Cav

Subs: Norman, Ream, Christie, Onomah, Arter, O'Riley, Stansfield

Hard choice between Johansen and Arter/Onomah, but feel that the former is a smarter player and also works well with Kmac and Cairney. Think Kmac deserves to start again, and would love to see him regain some form. Think that Bryan is a better full back going forward and similarly average at defending as compared to Christie. Odoi is a given for me, so takes the other spot. Think Mawson and Hector is potentially a much better CB pairing.

With the above said, pretty sure Parker will go with the same defence as against Hull, and also go with Onomah instead of Johansen at the very least.

Agree, that's what I'd expect/want.

Maybe in a different universum:
3-5-2

                         Rodak

         Hector      Mawson      Ream

Odoi     Arter    Johansen   Cairney    Bryan

                    Cav      Kamara

Subs: Norman, Sessegnon, KMac, Knockaert, Reid, Kebano

Maidstone Lee

               Rodak

Christie Hector Ream Odoi

           KMac Onomah

Knock        Reid         Cav

             Kamara

Basically the same team that won up at Hull with the exception of Mitro.
Stand up if you still believe!

Very hard to choose the front 4 but this is definitely the back 5 I want to see...

Rodak

Odoi Hector Mawson Bryan

Arter Cairney

Reid

Kamara Cavaleiro Knockaert

Dangerous to start with three players in a team that haven't played 30 minutes game time since injury.

I wouldn't want one of Arter, Cairney or Kamara to have to play 70mins+ and last sub should be 80 mins+.

                                     Knock                     Reid                         Cav.

McDonald did well last match and we will need him in front of our back four to help deal with their crosses from set pieces.
I understand Mitro, Kamara , Cairney and Reed are not fit.

Did Scott mention that Cairney was not fit? Since he was named on the bench last week I would have assumed that he would be fit to start by now.

But hasn't Cairney just been out for a short while? Assuming that he is cleared for match action, which he presumably was already last week, he shouldn't have more problems than anyone else lasting the full game.

We need a solid start with eleven match fit players. If Cairney is fit then save him for the second half when he may have an impact on a tiring defence.

Sure, but why wouldn't he be match fit (assuming that his inclusion in the squad last week was not a scam)?

Before we sell Bryan lets see Kongolo can work

                      Rodak
Christie    Hector   Mawson  Kongolo
                      KMac
              Onamah   Cairney
Knockaert         Reid                Cav

LW partnership changes from Bryan-Reid to Kongolo-Cav

Playing Kongolo so soon may cost us points, but better now than after we sell Bryan

That back 4 is the first time the club since TK has been loafing around the Cottage fielded a back four of six foot plus defenders which may signify that we could start winning a few headers.
The club have clearly started to read my emails.
