For some time now I have been concerned about the ULEZ and have checked to see if my Honda Jazz is liable for the charge. Having looked up one website it tells me that my car is not liable for the charge, however when I check the TFL website it just refers me to the congestion charge page on the web site. Does anyone know if TFL has a definative list of vehicles that will be subject to a charge for the ULEZ come October 2021. My travel plans will have to change should I be liable for the charge.

What reg is your car

Ronnie it refers you to the congestion charge page because that is all you and you car are liable for if you drive into London and that agrees with the other website you have checked your vehicle on. Hope this helps to reassure you

I also found they've increased the parking charges on the other side of the Fulham Palace Road, up to £3.00 per half hour from £1.30 pre pandemic
£3 for half an hour, are you sure, I  usually have to pay for two and a half hours, are you saying that will now cost £15.
I have been parking around the Munster Road area for years and years, certainly before meters were introduced. I have seen several increases in parking fees but never before anything as draconian as this

That's what it cost me yesterday -  £15.00 for 2 1/2 hours. I was late and didn't know that kick off was delayed otherwise I would have gone elsewhere
Unless they've changed all the parking restrictions in the last three weeks then I'd suggest you parked in the wrong street.

I've parked in the same road for 5 years on match days, up lambrook terrace and then the roads either side (Danehurst and Wardo?) Yesterday it was up to £3.00 per 1/2 hour it wasn't that much the last time I parked there.
I have parked around the Munster Road area for ages, certainly before meters were introduced. I have seen several increases in parking rates but never anything as cruel as this.
Do you think we can expect the same percentage increase in state pensions.

Motorcycles are included and newer ones may be OK, so still  check your reg on the Ulez site. My bike is an old P reg so no chance. I have two 10 year old cars. The i10 is Ulez compliant but not my Citroen C3!

Apparently if you use the Ringo app and your vehicle is low emission (my 18 plate petrol isn't) then it's 1.50 per 1/2 hr all meters are now £3.00 in that area (W)

Can I just point out, that this isn't really the fault of the mayor. This is all part of the tory bail out of tfl. They're the ones that tacked the C charge and ULEZ extention to the previous deal. To blame sadiq is short sighted and exactly what the tories want.

Can I point out this was part of a tfl/mayor consultation, going back to 2017/18..... Regrettably as a cabby, I have to deal with tfl every day..... Don't get me wrong, I don't favour any political party..... If you get bored have a look at the consultations & road closures tfl/ mayor have planned....The London Assembly are another bunch on the gravy train

As h4 says this is a Khan decision, mainly to bail out how disgracefully tfl has been run under his watch. I have pulled all my work from London and had to lay off 3 drivers, it is not economically viable to run a delivery business there anymore, the fees charged and the time it takes to get around is now ridiculous. I don't care who is mayor but the way tfl runs will kill London. Regarding consultations they show them lip service but do what they want anyway as the result of consultation is not binding.
I feel for you h4, I have never in my life seen as many black cabs queuing for business on ranks as there ar now, it must be really hard for you now.

I work for tfl and am a union activist. I've read the terms of the conditions. It clearly states they need to raise the congestion charge zone and ulez zone. I'll dig out the paperwork if you want.
And Boris, as mayor, put tfl £500 million in debt. Sadiq has actually balanced the books and cut wastage. They have had £360 million a year from central government funding, and now need to find another £600 million in savings. Not sure what you expect with a Tory government apart fro their mates getting richer.
£700m in debt...and the consultant for the ulez was in 2017/18...... The book's weren't balanced, they had improved.....both mayor's have been very poor....and annihilated my trade

H4 & Rufus, can I just say that it's refreshing to have some more balanced discussion on this board rather than the usual predictable and entrenched nonsense. Keep it up.

Surprised the mods haven't deleted the thread for clearly getting political. Also surprised no one is pointing out that ULEZ is surely fundamentally about stopping people driving 4x4s to the cornershop so we don't get all cancer from the smog it creates and to slow down the rate the planet is turning into a microwave. I generally criticise Sadiq Khan as much as anyone but won't complain about this. Look forward to the day, hopefully not far off, when you can't get inside the M25 unless you're in an electric car or bike

Wish it was about congestion & emissions... can't remember the date, but 100% EV will soon be charged.....have a look at the buses most aren't euro 6

I live in Devon and received a letter this morning from Transport for London with my vehicle registration number informing me that " your vehicle may not meet the ULEZ standards"
I don't understand why they have sent this unless they have sent it to every person that has a vehicle, so if I drive up to a game I not only have to pay the extortionate parking i now have the ULEZ fee, how long before they extend the congestion charge to cover SW6? Probably going to cost more to park than to buy match ticket.

So you are saying they're going to change the ULEZ standards so even a fully electric car won't be ULEZ compliant? Where did they say that? I agree that would be absurd

Kimbleman

Well I guess I opened a can of worms with this one guys 😂

I suppose those of us (and it's probably most of us) that travel in from the nearby Shires should start lift sharing?

Fortunately my Daughter (who comes to matches with me) has a new Fiesta, so she will be driving from now as it's Ulez excempt.

I do object to the Anti 4x4 statement as mine is used for driving up rutted country tracks in all weathers, periodically tows a large trailer and pulls a caravan on holiday. We don't all use them for a school run in Richmond!

I don't think anyone who can afford a newish Range Rover will be troubled by ULEZ as they are compliant, spending £600 in Road tax would suggest that the surcharge would also be affordable anyhow.
ULEZ is not a tax that will affect the rich, and for those less fortunate Khan's advice of 'buy an electric car then' is just not feasible.
He probably came up with this nugget sitting in the back if his chauffeur driven, £400,000 5 litre V8 Diesel Range Rover which I suspect would have trouble getting into double digit fuel economy.
