The arm can't be offside, because you are not allowed to use it to play the ball. Which conveniently brings us to the next sequence...

His hip and leg are offside though,  in any case were allowed to have two touches with the arm to control the ball now apparently :031: :031:

Wasn't it really obvious that the striker didn't celebrate, because he knew he'd handled it and it would be chalked off. Utterly bizarre that they've given it. If VAR can't see that it changed direction after touching his hand, maybe they need to implement a polygraph instead and ask the player if he touched it???

Either way, the ref needs to review and make the decision, not some guy in the booth.  didn't have the guts.
